True patriot of democracy remains solid on his home front. Congratulations on ur recent success having ensured that Bayelsans mandate was returned unto them.

Former president Goodluck Jonathan showed his humble side as he hosted some citizens of Bayelsa state during a recent courtesy visit to his residence -for a heart-to-heart talk on the bothering situations in the country and other related pics. Goodluck Jonathan excited them as he posed for pictures with them after the meeting.

We will never have good leadership until people stop being satisfied with mediocrity in addition to praising/defending it , we deserve the kind of leaders we get undecided

He is an inspiration to many South-south youth and any sincere person. Seeing him will encourage then to work harder at achieving their dreams.
People who were seen as minority without any dream of ever reaching such height of governance in Nigeria, now have their kinsman as the past president.

Someone from a humble background and hitherto unknown home town

It is indeed a testimony and something to be proud of.

IT WILL FOREVER BE WRITTEN IN HISTORY THAT A BAYELSAN WAS ONCE NIGERIA'S PRESIDENT.
While it is good that a Bayelsan and an Ijawman ascended to the Presidential stool, I don't see how it affects an average Bayelsan and Niger Deltan when the man couldn't change the means of livelihood for the better.

We have to be very sincere here. Our expectation from Jonathan in February 2010, May 2010 and May 2011 was defeated and was never met by 20%. Our land is is polluted, fiscal federalism is still on our lips, criminality and militancy became a noble profession. Our youths remained jobless and women remained poor. The demands of 2010 is still the demand of today. Please and please, Bayelsans didn't share in GEJ's salaries and benefits as President. I don't think that is an achievement. If it was, then Katsina state, Niger state, Sokoto state, Abia state, Ogun state, Kano state and Plateau state should be celebrating for having a number one man(or two), especially Kano.

Also, Jonathan is only source of inspiration when it comes to democratic tenet and not leadership. He got to that place by luck and divine arrangement not through hardwork.

I wish him happy retirement

guy, every body knows that Gej shouldn't be reelected if we want to go forward but wot we are saying is dat anybody that doesn't see any good thing about that man is either a religious or ethnic bigot. He tried his little best, although not enough. And that's why we shall continue to celebrate his so that anybody that is not pleased can go to hell

Did he give Buhari money? Buhari was in an accident that almost claimed his life and destroyed his cars. And as past head of state, Buhari is entitled to two cars. So, the cars were his entitlement, not a bribe. How would Buhari know that Dansuki recorded to have bought him 2 Land Cruisers for 300 million...It shouldn't have cost Dansuki more than 80 million to get those two land cruisers, but of cos he inflated the price.

I'm sure you sold the cars to him cos you seem to know the cost of the suvs. If PMB wasn't hiding something why weren't the SUVs in his asserts when he declared them? You talked about it not been a bribe, was dokpesi's payment a bribe and others that have been called to be a part of the sharing? u still haven't answered why Buhari hasn't arrested Nigeria's 2015 Hero, GEJ?

If there's one thing i detest the most is the act of judging people....
I'm writing this out of the gross influx of anger on my mind when i saw this on the front page..As small as Bayelsa is,nothing reasonable can be ascribed to it.Every infrastructure in a despicable state, its a paradox that the state once had her own breed holding the staff of presidency and yet she still portrays 80% of its environs as SLUMS.
He's been displaced, now he remembers the youth, who mostly cleaved to options such bunkery, vandalism, and militancy just earn a living...

Youths whos have experienced severe hardship all through his tenure will still come and want to listen to him speak @ dis gathering...HaBA!!!

Sometimes i wonder if we are remote controlled..

We all know he didn't perform up to expectation, irrespective of that, It is a HUGE achievement to have been the NO 1 citizen of Nigeria whether by luck or hard work. If he had been illiterate, uncultured, proud, vulgar etc He would never have been nominated in the first place by Alameiseha to be his running mate from is office as a lecturer.

So, his achievements are worthy of accolades whether anyone likes it or not!!
Children would be told; " Go to school and study hard so that you can be like GEJ".

SHIKENA!! kiss
