Jonathan did not write the report of the confab, Jonathan did not even contribute to any decisions in the confab. It was the representatives of different ethnicities in Nigeria (from different political affiliations) that decided and prepared those reports. It is out of place and myopic to claim that the report belongs to Jonathan. And even if by any chance it was Jonathan who prepared the reports unilaterally, there is hardly any informed adult in Nigeria who doesn't know the right things to do to move the nation forward; besides, that wasn't the first confab in Nigeria and all previous confabs also had similar content. What matters is not who convened a confab, the big question is 'who will implement the report?'... Jonathan obviously failed woefully in that regard and anyone expecting an Hausa-Fulani man to implement that report must be a big dreamer.
That Confab was Organised, planned and funded by the "discredited" regime of Mr Jonathan!

So Anything that comes out of the confab can easily be marked as Jonathan's Achievement!....

You guys are unbelievable!...

If that conference had failed, or the delegates went all rocky on each other, You guys would have been the first to cry foul... Heaping all blame on GEJ!

What did the erstwhile opposition not say about that conference? They condemned everything... From the idea to the execution and you stand here trying to build a rock between Jonathan, the Confab report and success of the conference? SMH!!!

Did Obama Lead those seals to Bin Laden's hideout? But will I be wrong to say "Obama killed Bin Laden"?

Guy, I need people who think deep to engage me please!

You need people who think deep but just take a look at your own thinking... From your statements, you insinuate that this government would be riding on the achievements of the past discredited government if they implement the report and you actually think that is deep thinking?

What recommendation from the report has not been made in the past?... The main recommendation of the report which is restructuring, since when did that become a patented idea of GEJ?... Was GEJ the first to organise a confab?.. and is this the first confab where the main recommendation is restructuring?... So if GEJ promises to build a road and he doesn't, then another administration comes in and builds the road, it is automatically the achievement of GEJ right?... Or probably your idea is for the new administration to build a completely new or different road all because it wants it all in its name?... Have you ever heard of the word 'continuity' in governance?... So you expect the new administration to abandon every project of the last administration and start new ones because they discredited the last administration?

If GEJ implemented the report of the conference, or even if he just made a slight attempt or showed the slightest interest to implement the content of the report, then I would have been inclined to give him the honour 'if' a successive administration ends up implementing it. The then opposition ACN/APC was rightly vindicated when they said the confab was a scam to gather support for 2015 elections; GEJ vindicated them when the report of the conference was thrown in the trash after the conference, and then exhumed just before the 2015 election with a promise to implement it if he was re-elected.

You need to liberate yourself from the mental slavery of tribalism. Not everyone who doesn't agree with your political views is Yoruba. there are over 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria and Yoruba is just one.

It takes one to know one...

That you don't understand deep thinking doesn't mean it doesn't exist!

So I blame you not! Have a good day!

The same report GEJ refused to even consider. Jonathan was just all talk and no action. When he saw the benefits of the report he quickly frustrated it for political gain cos the status quo favoured the corrupt PDP.

<<<<<Clears throat>>>>>

The National conference is an Igbo Conference because it was organised by an Igbo Man named Ebele Jonathan. The Buhari's Government shall organize an all inclusive National Conference which shall be to the benefit of all Nigeria. It shall not be called national conference. It shall be called The Nigerian Accord 2016.
Not that the accord must reorganize the dominant ethnic group in Nigeria and shall henceforth reorganize that ethnic group as The Owners of Nigeria and also The Protectors of Nigeria. Criteria for selecting the dominant ethnic group should be Land Mass and Population of the Ethnic Group
Honestly, if I see a muslim or a hausa man my first notion is for him to fall dead and die and dis is due to the comments I read on nairaland.
The hatred some pple spread in nairaland is too much.
FCOL, there's no unity in diversity. Co-federation is a lot better than this federal nonsence

Re: Adopt Jonathan’s National Conference Report – Bakare Tells Buhari by Scholarforever: 2:27pm On Jan 11, 2016
Any rational thinker will see beyond ethnic bigotry and political acrimony to adopt any good report that will move Nigeria forward. I never knew TSA was GEJ's idea. It is a laudable policy. President Buhari please adopt that confab report and let us lay ethnic rivalry to rest. Think Nigeria first before you think APC. Peace thrives only in d atmosphere of equity.

. . Just as this government adopted the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System, IPPIS, the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System, GIFMIS, and the Treasury Single Account, TSA1, which were conceived by the Goodluck Jonathan administration, the Buhari-led government should embrace the report of the 2014 National Conference.

APC-led Federal government should be sincete enough with implementation of Jonathan policies. Why they can't implement the policies fully instead of doing it in part.

A beg where is this man from

does not know that Ebele
Jonathan is not an Igbo man.
He belongs to the group who will
brand anybody Ibo, if he is not
Hausa or Yoruba. Wise up my friend.
Former President Jonathan is an Ijaw man
from Bayelsa State.

I think the federal government should adopt true federalism. States should have control of their resources and pay tax/royalties to the federal government. Any state that can't survive should close shop and look for "development partners". The security agencies, for now, should be managed by the federal government.
if buhari should adopt true federalism, I will run naked from the mainland to the island naked!!

The good thing about the conference report is that the unanimous document is out there already.
Even if APC doesn't implement it, some one someday will do that.
And that will count as GEJ's numerous achievements.
