Judging by his antecedent at FRSC, I think he will do a better job than the other two sycophants running with him.

Meanwhile his name has never and is not likely to come up in the dasukigate, that's a plus.
Just wait and see if the dolts won;t find a way to connect him to it or raise fresh rubble. Just wait, abi no be Hey-pee-Cheat again?

he instilled discipline in the institution, computerised the system so that all levy imposed on erring motorist gets to the appropriate quarters, he embarked on intensive drivers reorientation on the use of seatbelts and ensuring that all the necessary equipments needed in a car in case of emergencies are there. He tried to change the plate numbers so that every motorists will ve he's unique number and can be identified with it. He made the process of obtaining a drivers' license transperent and hitchfree... These are the little I can tell for now. Thank you.
Bros, not sure if what you are alluding to is correct, and should be termed as achievements. Well, to me, he was a failure.

a) Instilled discipline: Like Really? The FRSC that was as corrupt as anything. One could even get a fake Driver's license right at the FRSC office.
b) Computerised the System: Payment of fines by ATM is NOT a computerisation of FRSC system. The receipt was still being written by hand!
c) Driver re-orientation: Bros, make we just leave this out. At what park? Seat-belts advocacy has been a core delivery of FRSC since inception.
d) Emergencies Equipment in Vehicles: I agree he did a lot of sensitization of this main requirement, it however ended up being a means to raise business for colleagues as FRSC was even trying to say which kits motorists should buy.
e) Plate Number Change: The biggest scam of the last administration, second only to the Job scam. enough said.

So for me, I am not sure his antecedents sets him apart from the normal pack of people that underwhelm in office.

Just for my education, Please what are his antecedents and what exactly was achieved under him by FRSC.

Please be kind to help me out.
You only know where you have gotten to (or where you are heading to & the distance you have covered) if you recall where you are coming from...

Get some lecture treats on leadership. Check what FRSC (& even NSCDC) was like pre-2007! Recall the driving culture pre-2007! Then google 'Chidoka's achievements in FRSC'...then (if you have a dictionary) check for the meaning of 'antecedent'...

I am not an Ibo man. I think the Ibo people should learn to support their own especially those who in their little way have made tremendous difference. I strongly think that Osita is one material the Ibos should hold dear. I have read and seen what he had achieved in road safety. It is time we put sentiment aside and allow the best hand to mold the clay. Let me share with you some of his verifiable achievements in road safety.
• Did you know that before Osita became the Corps Marshal in 2007, there were only 170 patrol vehicles nationwide? But between June 2007 and December 2013, he injected 772 vehicles and 6 heavy duty tow trucks to the existing 170 patrol vehicles. This is 78% increase. He added 69 Unit Commands and 4 outposts to the existing 121 unit Commands.

• Preceding 2007, records were still manually kept while connectivity among Commands was almost non-existent. There was only one V-SAT installed in the Corps Headquarters in Abuja for Data Management and internet connectivity. But his administration deployed 400 V-SATs to improve linkage with various Commands and also created a robust and reliable database of about 11 million capacity.

• He introduced vehicle tacking technology in FRSC to monitor the movement of all Patrol Vehicles in various Commands nationwide. Through this medium, it became easy to deploy Patrol Vehicles to distressed locations for traffic control/management and to notify ambulances to respond to distress calls within any location of a crash or emergency. Go to the FRSC National Headquarters and see for yourself.

• In April 15, 2013 FRSC made history by becoming the First and Only ISO 9001 QMS Certified Law Enforcement Agency in Africa. This certification has enabled FRSC to establish robust processes and a procedure open to a third party assessment for continual improvement.

• During his tenure as the Corps Marshal, FRSC won the prince Michael of Kent award on road safety, World Bank recognition as best example of lead agency in Africa and the National Productivity Order of Merit Award.

• Here this. In 2008, FRSC’s rating by SERVICOM was unsatisfactory, in 2009, FRSC came 3rd position, in 2010, FRSC picked the 2nd position. From 2011 till he left office, FRSC earned the enviable 1st position.

• To enhance communication amongst FRSC staff, his administration initiated the Close User Group (CUG) telephone lines. Between 2008 and 2013, FRSC acquired a total of 3,108 CUGs. This was outside the telephone lines linked to the Callers Group where spouses of officers’ could communicate free within the group after making a token monthly payment.

Osita is a young man with ideas and he his technologically inclined. We need men like him in the senate. Let the Ibos support him, let the Anambra people support him, let Nigeria in general support him. At the end, we will all be glad we did.

Greetings to you Mr. Akainzo.

I would like to educate you summarily about the achievements of Chief Osita Chidoka.

In 2007, he was appointed as the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of the Federal Road Safety Corps. His leadership of the FRSC led to the transformation of the Corps to a functional Lead Agency in Road Traffic Administration and Safety Management in the country driven by information and communication technology. This transformation had as its visible impact:

• A 15% reduction in fatalities from 2007 to 2009 and 28% in 2010;
• Increase in Fines' Generation from N524,757,951.24 in 2006 to N1.4 Billion in 2010;
• Creation of a reliable Offenders’ Register and data base of drivers and vehicles in the country, leading to ECOWAS adoption of the Nigerian model in the planned Regional Vehicle Administration Information System (RVAIS) by the West African countries and production of Nigeria Road Safety Strategy (NRSS) 2012-2016.
• Under his leadership, the Federal Road Safety Corps won the prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in December 2008;
• Moreover, FRSC’s compliance with global best practices led to the certification of the Corps by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) which conferred the Quality Management System Certificate (ISO 9001:2008 Certification) on the Corps on 15 April 2013.

It is also worthy to note that whilst he was the Corps Marshal, he also bagged notable awards such as the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria Merit Award on 27 November 2010, and the Institute of Logistics Management of Nigeria Fellowship Award in July, 2011.

Some of the illustrious awards conferred to Chief Osita Chidoka include:
• The National Productivity Order of Merit Award of the Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity in October, 2010.
• The Distinguished Alumnus Award for good governance and model on Road Safety by the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka on 12 November, 2011.
• The Sun and Hallmark Newspapers Public Servant of the year 2012 Awards (Under him, FRSC won Leadership Newspapers Government Agency of the year 2012 award)

In recognition of his expertise, he was appointed by Mr. President to head the Transportation Sub Committee of the Presidential Committee on Nigeria’s Centenary. The feat accomplished led to his appointment as the Chairman of the Transport Committee for the World Economic Forum held in May, 2014 in Nigeria.

Furthermore, because of his patriotic disposition to his fatherland, he was conferred with Nigeria’s National Honour of Officer of the Federal Republic, OFR by the President and Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR on 14th November, 2011.

In conclusion, the people of Obosi recognized Chief Osita Chidoka’s enormous contributions to national and community development and thus invested him with the traditional title of Ike Obosi (Strength of Obosi). He was also made a member of Ndi-Ichie, the highest decision making body of Obosi Traditional Council of Anambra State in May, 2009.

Mr. Akainzo, as a result of your educating needs, I also recommend you read an attached article compiled by my friend "kennybrown55" on the giant achievements reached by Chief Osita Chidoka during his tenure as the Corps Marshal and Chief Executive of Federal Road Safety Corps. (Kindly find the attached article to this post, please)

Chief Osita Chidoka has proven (and will continue to prove) that he is indeed a worthy son of Igboland and Nigeria. I believe that his expertise will add value to the proceedings of the Nigerian Senate.

Thank you.

Greetings to you Mr. Akainzo.

I would like to educate you summarily about the achievements of Chief Osita Chidoka.

His leadership of the FRSC led to the transformation of the Corps to a functional Lead Agency in Road Traffic Administration and Safety Management in the country driven by information and communication technology. This transformation had as its visible impact:
I will take this your so called achievements one by one.

kokai:
• A 15% reduction in fatalities from 2007 to 2009 and 28% in 2010;
He achieved the reduction by doing what? What specifically did the FRSC do in these years to reduce fatalities from road accidents? Please share. BTW, what were the actual fatalities number, plus if even the FRSC didn't have a reliable database until 2012 ( as claimed by you! ), how then did they gather the data for the deaths from 2007 to determine that is was decreasing? Bullcrap!

kokai:
• Increase in Fines' Generation from N524,757,951.24 in 2006 to N1.4 Billion in 2010;
Well done! the only part you missed was this: the fine for "driving with a broken headlight" was N500 in 2006 and N3,000 in 2010! So even if you fine less number of people, you can still more than double the revenue generated from fines.

kokai:
• Creation of a reliable Offenders’ Register and data base of drivers and vehicles in the country, leading to ECOWAS adoption of the Nigerian model in the planned Regional Vehicle Administration Information System (RVAIS) by the West African countries and production of Nigeria Road Safety Strategy (NRSS) 2012-2016.
Lie from the pit of hell. Even now that we are using the biometric Drivers License, no unit of FRSC can see if a driver has ever been caught driving under the influence.
BTW, we had the database of Drivers and vehicles since 1999 when the harmonised Drivers License and Car registration was launched. The database might not have been utilised properly but we had it.

kokai:
• Under his leadership, the Federal Road Safety Corps won the prestigious Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in December 2008;
• Moreover, FRSC’s compliance with global best practices led to the certification of the Corps by the Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) which conferred the Quality Management System Certificate (ISO 9001:2008 Certification) on the Corps on 15 April 2013.
Good news!

kokai:
It is also worthy to note that whilst he was the Corps Marshal, he also bagged notable awards such as the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria Merit Award on 27 November 2010, and the Institute of Logistics Management of Nigeria Fellowship Award in July, 2011.

• The Sun and Hallmark Newspapers Public Servant of the year 2012 Awards (Under him, FRSC won Leadership Newspapers Government Agency of the year 2012 award)
I am surprised he didn't pay enough to win the Vanguard Man of the Year award! Nonsense!

kokai:
In recognition of his expertise, he was appointed by Mr. President to head the Transportation Sub Committee of the Presidential Committee on Nigeria’s Centenary. The feat accomplished led to his appointment as the Chairman of the Transport Committee for the World Economic Forum held in May, 2014 in Nigeria.

So he was conferred an honour along with Abacha, thieves like Okupe by such a government like GEJ that doesn't understand what merit is and you are here bragging! Was it not the same GEJ that was conferring national honours on army chiefs that were losing a war to the rag tag Boko Haram insurgents. Abeg, come with better things!

kokai:
In conclusion, the people of Obosi recognized Chief Osita Chidoka’s enormous contributions to national and community development and thus invested him with the traditional title of Ike Obosi (Strength of Obosi). I am happy his people recognise him, that is quite admirable. However, do not come to start shouting "What he achieved as FRSC boss" because that is where both of us have a divergent of opinions.
