How do you think some of these our present day billionaires made their money? They acted as "couriers'' for IBB and later Abacha. There was one popular Lebanese family involved too (won't mention names)

The truth is that what Swiss and co is sending us as Abachas' loot is only the interest of his loot accrued over time. Next year, they will still send us some percentage of the interest and we'll keep thanking them, while the main money is being put to use in development their economy.

Say you fixed like $2billion for 15years, no matter the rate, the interest will be outrageous.

Do we have any choice?.. NO.

The debt we probably owe IMF and world bank@ the moment is probably part of abacha's loot that was loaned to us.

The $300 million we are about to recieve is probably part of the interest we have paid over the years now paid back as abacha loot.
The west just need another abacha to initiate the same monetary round tripping all over again. Today's abacha are never short in supply as far as nigeria is concerned.
Only god knows how much has been lodged in foreign banks in the last 16 years.
Abacha might just be a saint when compared to the looters that we have these days.

Guy, inasmuch it is a sad thing for a nation to have such mentally bent individuals who plundered the public coffers for self use as Gen. Sani Abacha, I appreciate that we as Nigerians at times can find some humour in disturbing national issues in a bid to stay sane. What we should rather do is take action collectively but let's joke a little.

I was just crying (physically) on a burning personal issue but did find some succor in the funny twist to the $300 million being returned - which in itself alone is a good thing at lease. It serves as tonic, OK.

Ease up, eh!
