Emmanuel Eche-Ofun John posted: THE MAN DAVID ALENCHENU BONAVENTURE MARK! Last night, I and 15 other Idoma youths visited Senator #David_Mark in his Abuja home. We were seated at about 7:15 and by 7:20pm, he walked in to welcome us, with warm handshake. He expressed open happiness for our visit. Our leader, #Charles_Mayor_Aboh, stood up and eloquently appreciated him for his audience and all the good things he had used his position to do for Idomaland. He listed massive recruitments for Idoma youths, the construction of Otobi Dam, Oweto bridge, the establishment of a federal university in Otukpo, etc, as major achievements of #David_Mark. He promised him, onbehalf of all of us, that Idoma youths would stand with him, that he should not be afraid. Many more persons spoke, and they all praised #Mark for all his achievements and efforts to put Idoma race prominently in Nigerian map. When it was my turn to talk, I sincerely thanked the senator, from the bottom of my heart, for all that he has been doing for Idoma people, most especially the job opportunities he was able to give to thousands of Idoma youths, directly and indirectly. I told him that no Idoma person, living or dead, had done one third of what he has been able to do for the people. When I was done with the appreciation, I asked him five questions that I needed clarification on, which will help to correct some misconceptions and put paid to some lies and blackmails flying around. *FIRSTLY, I asked him to tell us the true state of 'Constituency allowance';how much he had collected in the last 17 years and how he spent the money. *SECONDLY, I asked him if it was true that his wife collected money to fix the Otukpo-Ugbokolo-Enugu road and absconded with the money. *THIRDLY, I asked him why he was not able to use his influence on the state government to attract developmental projects to Idoma land, especially Otukpo, despite the fact that his party, the PDP, had been in power for 16 years. *FOURTHLY, I asked him to talk about the allegation that he siezed land from poor land owners in Otukpo for his private University. And FIFTLY, I asked him if he collected money from #Sambo_Dasuki. Senator #Mark was happy with the sincerity and honesty with which the questions were asked. He took his time to respond to each of them, which I will just summarize. On the first question, he said there was NOTHING called constituency allowance, that what's obtainable is that a Legislator can identify a project in his constituency and inform the Executive Council, that if such project is acceptable and considered worthy of execution, the ministry of finance would award the contract and pay the contractor DIRECTLY. That in his own case, he has been able to build Health centres in all the Nine LGAs under him, then the Otobi Dam, Oweto Bridge, etc, which are gulping billions of Naira. On the second question, he stated that he could only beg the state government to develop his Idomaland, that he has no power to 'force' them to shoulder their constitutional and moral responsibilities if they fail and intentionally refuse to do so. On the third question, he said his wife has always lamented and felt bad about the allegation, stating that his wife didn't collect a dime from anybody for the road. He went on to ask who even awarded the contract, that anybody with proofs of the award and payment should come forward with them. On the fourth question, he expressed disappointment over the falsehood and sheer blackmail. He said the records are there that ADEQUATE COMPENSATION was paid for every piece of land being used for the University and every economic tree affected. He said those spreading the rumour are enemies of Idoma who don't ever want the people to grow. Then on the fifth question, he said he didn't collect a dime from Dasuki, been arms money. He said as a retired General and a Senator of the FRN, he would never do anything to undermine the security of the country, saying we should defend Idomaland, even with his own blood. By the time #David_Mark finished talking, we all became speechless and at the verge of shedding tears. I saw a man who's honest and sincere; a man who wants the best for his people; a man who's ready to sacrifice himself for his people. A good man! I think we should support him. |

How much for this piece brother? I hope you were paid enough to last atleast 3 generations of your family. did you remember to ask him How much his wardrobe allowance cost? How about car allowance?, sitting allowance nko? I hear they also collect travel allowance too. Maybe you should just have asked him How much he collected as Senate president in a year. Maybe he would also have been in the best position to enlighten us on his statement made a while back that telephone is not meant for the poor. |

Leave trash for LAWMA! Emmanuel Eche-Ofun is an ignorant stooge who has no say or name among the Idoma youth. He is just a misguided and overzealous Facebook rambler with disjointed facts. Mayor Charles Okoh as expected is a beneficiary of David Mark nepotic/ family favoritism whose principles rest in his pocket and immediate personal benefits. Their visit to D. mark is typical of lazy Idoma youth whose entire career revolves around one opportunistic politician he worship as a leader. |

Ioannes:are you a Nigerian? If yes, do you have a senator, or a house of rep member? Go and meet them and ask them those questions. Idoma youths have asked their senator what they felt they should ask. |

ProfessorPeter:last I checked he was the Senate president, number three man of the federation. this is way beyond idoma youths. what has been his contribution in his tenure as Senate president. besides because some apologist comes online to write some lame piece doesn't mean that all of idoma youths are in support. |

1miccza:I won't put anything past the "Nigerian youths". the same breed that are being paid #1,000 to carry placards and protest in support of politicians who have ruined their lives through embezzlement. |
