One thing a hate about this government is that the forgot about the country welfare totally only focusing on corruption. What a common man need is his welfare. Buhari shouldn't focus on corruption alone and forget that everything is turning to worse in this county.
My God.

I cannnot beleive what I have just read?

You want Buhari to stop fighting corruption and focus on the people's welfare?

Isn't the people's welfare affected badly by corruption? Isn't the money stolen money that could be used for the people's welfare.

You know......you Nigerians.....you deserve every suffering you get. Justifying evil in the name of the people's welfare!

Better change your mindset....and demand better! Stop excusing wrong things.I am not insulting you.....I am merely pointing out where you are wrong.

Corruption is an evil that affects us everyday. I once heard of the head of a government hospital who was diverting money meant for the hospital's neonatal ward to his private hospital. Guess how many babies died because of that?

Don't try to justify wrong. Pray that Buhari's anti corruption battle succeds, and extends to everyone outside the last admin....not just PDP members. Because if we do not fight corruption in this country....we are doomed.

You better emancipate yourself from mental slavery!

Chai this is how these people have been raping this nation and making the nation completely disfunctional.
So so bad. Heartless and evil people everywhere.

I support PMB on his total war on corruption, but I will advice him not to take up so many powerful people at the same time.
Or else he might not even finish his 4 years before a coup d'etat takes place.

I am boiling with anger, So I know that president Buhari is angry and rightly so at the monumental looting and the consequencies of such on the nation, but He needs to tread with caution and be systematic in this war.

Taking on so many powerful people plus the Military top brass at this early stage of his regime might not be an entirely good idea. My thought though....

The few things I noticed are
1 Gen Ihejirika that apc loves to hate is not mentioned in that list
2. The vast majority of those mentioned are Yorubas. Tomorrow, Yorubas will start yapping about how they were totally excluded from Gej's government, totally ignoring to tell the whole world that they were the corruption agents of gej's regime. This is high treason and they should all be executed for that trason.
3 Northerners are next in line with tue Yorubas in that list. Only a few Igbos were mentioned.

This list gives a brief synopsis of the ethnic groups that have corrupted this country. So this corruption was always led by the Yorubas, closely followed by the Hausas
Your problems are mighty. God will deliver you from serious inferiority complex.

Of course Yoruba and Hausa were responsible for more corruption than Ibos and Niger Delta since independence. I am a Yoruba man and I am admitting it.

I wish all of them were SHOT for corruption.

Do you know what Yorubas were doing during the Gowon and IBB regimes?....wholesale corruption that was what and they paid dearly for it

The problem with the Ibo race however is a big one. They have unbelievable sentimental attachment to the corrupt cluelessness of Jonathan and a lot of inferiority complex in the political arena and unchecked persecution complex. The sentimentality is irritating to many other tribes.
This sentimentality makes them easy to be manipulated by satanic politicians.

The Niger Delta is actually better. If you visit Yenagoa today you find people openly calling Jonathan a thief and saying he did not do much for his people.

Anyway, strategy is being work out to diversify our economy away from crude oil.

THE NIGERIA'S RULE OF LAW AT WORK
1. Abdulrasheed Maina, the maelstrom that sucked up N195 billion pension fund has escaped out of the country to enjoy his loot in a small Island because the rule of law provided a cover for him to go for medical treatment which he never returned for trial.
2. Farouk Lawan demanded for $3million bribe. The rule of law invoked his fundamental human rights, he got away with it till toda and the trial is dead.
3. Mohammed Abacha has a case of N446 billion on his neck, the rule of law guarantees he walks free and enjoy his loot to the fullest. Nothing has been heard of the matter till today.
4. $6 billion fuel subsidy scandal has been swept under the carpet and all the criminals that shared this loot are walking free because the rule of law says so.
5. Peter Odili Looted and plundered Rivers State Treasury To the tune of $500 million and the rule of law protected and gave him an everlasting immunity from prosecution or arrest by EFCC so that the man can be left in peace to enjoy his loot.
6. Dan Etete and his gangs of seven or more thieves shared $1.1 billion in celebrated Malabu oil scandal. The rule of law ensured that they walked free and have all relocated from Nigeria.
7. Abubakar Kigo and his gang of five, stole almost N33billion police pension fund, the rule of law gave them a pat on the wrist, 2 years jail term and N750,000 fine.
8. Steve Oronsaye, the former head of service for the federation was found culpable in mismanaging and diverting N123 billion and the rule of law has made sure that the matter never sees the light of the day.
9. Sambo Dasuki, after mismanaging, looting, diverting and sharing $2.1 billion arms purchase money to his friend and cronies is asking to be let out to travel abroad for medical treatment because the rule of law guarantees him that privilege. A trip if he be allowed to make will ensure he never returns to the country to face trial.
10.The PDP and lovers of corruption are asking and demanding for the release of Olisa Metuh from EFCC detention because the rule of law guarantees him freedom for corruptly enriching himself. Olisa Metuh, a man who collected over N400 million of arms purchase money for his personal enjoyment on the detriment of our soldiers and innocent Nigerians who were killed daily by boko haram.

These criminals still enjoy their loot while many workers could not get their salaries...

Whose interest does the RULE OF LAW serve?

You might not share in my opinion but I have one question for all of us.

Is PMB winning the war on corruption?

If yes, mention one person who has spent 5 days behind bars. They are remanded on friday and granted bail on monday.

Truth is, PMB would have succeeded if this is military regime. This is democracy and we don't have perfect institutions to nail corrupt fellows.

IMO, PMB should block all lupholes and face front. Consistent embrace of this administration to the past will on wake us up 4 years later to realise that we have not had dividends of democracy. This anti corruption war is a serious distraction. 2019, people will remember I noted this.

The men on that list are strong men who will definitely fight back. His kinsmen removed him in 1983 for stubbornness. ..history is playing back....let him face front, embrace the future, block corrupt channels, revive an obvious dead economy by strong economic ideas and we will re elect him in 2019.

You may say, I don't feel the pains of families and soldiers who have died but that's not exactly what they need.

They currently need reassurance that government got their back. Rebuild the waste places, ensure peace in the region, build infrastructures for them. Create employment for them and empower the youths. If PMB jails all the men on that list which will never happen, the region still needs adequate security and welfare.

I can't find Ihejirikas and Danbazzau on that list is it because the later is now a minister under his regime?

Danbazzau heldsway under Yaradua while Ihejirika held sway under GET. Not forgetting the NSA before Dasuki.

PMB should investigate our economy further and face front.

I don't see him jailing more than 5 people in 4 years. Our laws have enough lacuna to free thieves...that's why no one is behind bars 7months after.
arrant nonsense .

Following the submission of the audit committee's second interim report, President Buhari has directed the EFCC to investigate the roles of the officers and the following companies and their directors in fundamental breaches associated with the procurements by the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) and the Nigerian Air Force (NAF).

The breaches identified by the Audit Committee include non-specification of procurement costs, absence of contract agreements, award of contracts beyond authorised thresholds, transfer of public funds for unidentified purposes and general non-adherence to provisions of the Public Procurement Act.
Furthermore, the procurement processes were arbitrarily carried out and generally characterized by irregularities and fraud. In many cases, the procured items failed to meet the purposes they were procured for, especially the counter insurgency efforts in the North East.

A major procurement activity undertaken by ONSA for NAF was that concerning the contracts awarded to Societe D’ Equipment Internationaux (SEI) Nig Ltd.

Between January 2014 and February 2015, NAF awarded 10 contracts totalling Nine Hundred and Thirty Million, Five Hundred Thousand, Six Hundred and Ninety US Dollars ($930,500,690.00) to SEI Nig Ltd.
Letters of award and End User Certificates for all the contracts issued by NAF and ONSA respectively did not reflect the contract sums. Rather, these were only found in the vendor’s invoices, all dated 19 March 2015. Additionally, some of the award letters contained misleading delivery dates suggesting fraudulent intent in the award process. The observed discrepancies are in clear contravention of extant procurement regulations.
The SEI contracts included procurement of two used Mi-24V Helicopters instead of the recommended Mi-35M series at the cost of One Hundred and Thirty Six Million, Nine Hundred and Forty Four Thousand US Dollars ($136,944,000.00).
However, it was confirmed that the helicopters were excessively priced and not operationally air worthy at the time of delivery. A brand new unit of such helicopters goes for about Thirty Million US Dollars ($30m).
Furthermore, the helicopters were delivered without rotor blades and upgrade accessories.
Additionally, the helicopters were undergoing upgrade while being deployed for operation in the North East without proper documentation. It was further established that as at date, only one of the helicopters is in service while the other crashed and claimed the lives of two NAF personnel.

The Committee established that ONSA also funded the procurement of 4 used Alpha-Jets for the NAF at the cost of Seven Million, One Hundred and Eighty Thousand US Dollars ($7,180,000.00). However, it was confirmed that only 2 of the Alpha-Jet aircraft were ferried to Nigeria after cannibalization of engines from NAF fleet.
This is contrary to the written assertion of the former Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal AN Amosu to the former NSA that all the 4 procured Alpha-Jets aircraft were delivered to the NAF.
The non-militarisation of the Alpha-Jets made them unsuitable for deployment to the North East and they are currently deployed only for training at NAF Kainji.
Furthermore, the procurement of the Alpha-Jets was contrary to the recommendation of the assessment team. The Committee found that the conduct of Air Marshal Amosu was deliberately misleading and unpatriotic.
The contract for the procurement of 36D6 Low Level Air Defence Radar for the NAF was awarded to GAT Techno Dynamics Ltd in April 2014 at the cost of Thirty Three Million US Dollars ($33m) and was funded by ONSA.
The Committee established that the radars were excessively priced as a complete set of such radars (comprising 6 radars including the Control Centre) goes for Six Million US Dollars ($6m) averagely. The Committee observed that the radars were delivered without the vital component of Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) that distinguishes between own and adversary aircraft, which has significantly degraded the operational capabilities of the NAF in the North East.
It was further observed that the sum of Three Million, Three Hundred Thousand US Dollars ($3.3m) was fraudulently included in the contract agreement as VAT and With Holding Tax and subsequently paid into the bank accounts of Spacewebs Interservices Ltd and Delfina Oil and Gas Ltd.
The Committee further established that Two Million US Dollars ($2m) from the proceeds was transferred to Mono Marine Corporation Nig Ltd, which is jointly owned by principal characters in this deal. The Committee opined that the infractions of extant regulations by these companies were clearly intended to defraud.

It was established that between September 2009 and May 2015, the NAF expended about Fifteen Billion Naira (N15bn) on the maintenance of its Alpha-Jets, C-130H aircraft and Mi-24V/35P helicopters. Out of this amount, Four Billion, Four Hundred and Two Million, Six Hundred and Eighty Seven Thousand, Five Hundred and Sixty Nine Naira, Forty One Kobo (N4,402,687,569.41) was paid out for contracts not executed.

It was also observed that in carrying out these maintenance activities, contracts worth over Two Billion, Five Hundred Million Naira (N2.5bn) were awarded to Syrius Technologies, a Ukrainian company that was not registered in Nigeria. Regrettably, in spite of these expenditures, the status of NAF fleet remained operationally appalling as only 3 Alpha-Jets, 2 C-130H and one each of Mi-24V and Mi-35P were serviceable as at 28 May 15.
In October 2013, NAF awarded contracts to DICON for the supply of weapons and ammunition at the cost of Five Hundred and Ninety Nine Million, One Hundred and Eighteen Thousand Naira (N599,118,000.00). However, only 2 of the 7 items contracted were delivered to NAF while the outstanding 5 items remained undelivered despite repeated requests to DICON.
The Committee also found that the delivered ammunition were about 40 years old, thereby casting doubts on their shelf life. The failure of DICON to fully execute the contract and the delivery of aged ammunition diminished the capacity of the NAF in North East operation.
The Committe uncovered insider dealings by military officers in procurement activities undertaken by ONSA and the NAF. The officers were found to have misused or abused their offices for personal gains by influencing award of contracts to private companies in which they have substantial interests.
For instance, an officer serving in the ONSA used his office to secure 2 contracts for his company, Geonel Integrated Services Ltd, for the protection of 20 Dams and Presidential Air Fleet security at the cost of Six Billion, Two Hundred and Fifty Million Naira (N6,250,000,000.00) and Five Million US Dollars ($5m) respectively.

Furthermore, some NAF officers used their companies to collect VAT and With Holding Tax that were never remitted to FIRS while another officer was found to have cross transferred about Five Hundred Million Naira (N500m) between a NAF company, Aeronautical Engineering and Technical Services Limited, SkyExperts Nig Ltd and Huzee Nig Ltd, companies in which he had personal interests.
It would be recalled that in its First Interim Report, the Committee on Audit of Defence Equipment established that the sum of Six Hundred and Forty Three Billion Naira (N643bn) and Two Billion, One Hundred Million US Dollars ($2.1bn) interventions were received for defence procurements by DHQ and the Services between 2007 and 2015.
In continuation of its assignment, the Committee has so far established that the nation spent about Twenty Nine Billion Naira (N29bn) and Two Billion US Dollars ($2bn) on NAF procurement activities alone.

Any of these probes that excludes former thief chief of army staff and presently the minister for interior in Buhari's govt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazzau is selective and not a honest move by the president. We are currently discussing with some international attorneys and human rights agencies and soon will drag Nigerian army and Dambazzau to international court for his roles in Nigerian army's corruption in UN operation and also human rights abuses against its soldiers

SEE OUR POST ONAPRIL 28th, 2009 ON DAMBAZZAU (when he was COAS)

Corruption:chief Of Army Staff (gen. Dambazzau) Must Go! by okuya: 7:41pm On Apr 28, 2009

The Chief of Army Staff Gen. Dambazzau must be forced out of office for corruption, by every well meaning Nigerian within and outside the military following the part he played in the corrupt saga involving the allowances of the former UN peace keepers in Liberia whom he recently handed LIFE JAIL SENTENCES through the kangaroo court set up to them.
The Chief of Army staff who was not even properly screened by the senate before being appointed and backed by some top politicians such as senator David Mark, was then the General Officer Commanding 2 Div. Ibadan under whose command falls 323 artillery regiment Akure, Played a key role in the embezzlement of allowances belonging to these peacekeepers.
Aside deducting about $600 dollars from every UN peacekeeper from Nigeria for Barracks maintainance, and a set of camouflage, awarding dubious and bloated contract for the feeding of the contigents who at the end of the day are poorly fed, he and his gang of top military officers, which included the former chief of army staff general Luka Yussuf went ahead to deduct over $3,000 dollars from each the 850 soldiers returning from the operation, and when the bubble burst due to the protest by the soldiers he was so angered that he even manhandled one of the female soldiers when he arrived to see the situation of things , he quickly fronted some officers and soldiers who stood in as the culprits after being settled with several millions of Naira to shield Dambazzau and his gang from being exposed, and as a price they have to pay they were accused of only handed a light sentence for stealing and fraud by being demoted, while the officers whose money were stolen were jailed for life, what an irony!.
All Nigerians including every junior officer of the Nigerian military including the airforce and navy must stand for these gallant soldiers who stood their ground against corruption in the military,by saying no to the sentence or any form of punishment against them and support a call for the removal of the chief of army staff and independent investigation into the activities of the military in terms of management of funds provided the military with taxpayers hard earned money

your reasoning is faulty, Buhari is not EFCC chairman. He has appointed efcc chairman and ICPC heads who have been empowered to do their jobs, in the course of doing their jobs which is to fight corruption, they are not fighting the economy. are they??

If the economy is turning to worse in your statement, we have the president, ministers also, and relevant heads of economic agencies,. Dont muddle up things by picking up shallow narratives you heard someone saying , or read up some where like " government forgot about the country welfare totally only focusing on corruption"

We all must keep praying for this mr President o, may he live long to see to d end all his good plans for this nation Nigeria

Press statement from the Presidency...

(17)Lt Col. MS Dasuki (Rtd)

I have heard of the bold part long before now from a reliable source, before the election.

[s]Kindly shut up if you don't have any reasonable thing to say. Thousands of military men and civilians died and are still dying in the NE because of the diabolic actions of a few evil men. If only you lost any of your friends or relatives to this mess, you wouldn't be here spewing this rubbish that investigations should be dropped.[/s]
You are a fool
