The pain will be felt by all but the region will feel it the most. I dont know why u have to destroy oil facility's in your state which pollutes the environment and also cuts job. Militants just became part of governance at some point in Nigeria.

Amnesty was a big mistake. These dudes should have been faced squarely like the Nigerian army is doing against Boko-Haram

It goes beyond their communities, Nigeria suffers from it... When oil facilities get destroyed, Nigerian's oil output reduced and earnings dropped drastically, it will be worse now that oil price are at the lowest.

I tjinknthe government should thread carefully, capturing tompolo and even killing him won't make this mess stop

Some fights are better never attempted. Negotiations is the best alternative.. The way the government handled the militants was better, train them, pay then and integrate them into the society, overtime their philosophies will change. Fighting them head on, the unborn will believe their region was destroyed because of her oil and so the fight will continue no matter the era

This will not go down well. But then Buhari doesn't follow good advise so he will make the wrong move again. And this time, he will bring the whole economy down finally. The budget is already in trouble because of low oil price but if the ND crisis resumes, he won't even have oil to sell for low prices.

The result will be a chain reaction. The stock market is already dead. Companies are folding up in their numbers, investors are pulling out, a crisis in the ND will be the final straw. The present situation already means that internally generated revenue will drop as taxes are based on company revenues. Companies whose stock have crashed will pay less taxes this year. Those that have folded up won't be paying any tax so even the projections from internal revenue will fall short

The militants will not submit themselves to security agencies. Why would they when the agencies don't follow court processes but just incarcerate people illegally and indefinitely without proper trial?

The security agencies can't handle them. They don't do conventional warfare. They just target oil installations. They know the creeks more than the military. They have nothing to lose. I wonder who is advising this government. That person is their worst enemy

It does go beyond their communities, but the environmental effects of the spill is going to be felt primarily by them. Nigeria is not going to join them to live in their polluted environment.

Oil is below $30 per barrel, Establishment won't easily agree to lend money to Nigeria owing to its instability issues, the economy is on a free fall, investors are discouraged because the president disobeys court orders, there is ban on the sale of arms to nigeria, militancy in the north, secession agitation and bombing of pipelines in the south east and south south. If Buari doesn't do something wise and fast too, I am afraid Nigeria is going to break down.
