Former Niger Delta militant leader Government Ekpemupolo has denied involvement in the alleged N34 billion NIMASA fraud.
The denial was contained in an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari, which Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo) personally signed on Sunday.

He said, “The truth of the matter is that I do not know anything about the 34 billion naira EFCC is talking about. First, it was 13 billion naira (N13bn) issue, now it is 34 billion naira (N34bn).
“I am not a signatory to any of the companies mentioned in the said N34bn case, so I do not know where this one is coming from.

He should simply honour EFCC's invitation and explain himself. All this letter writing to the president won't make the case go away. Do the honourable thing and stop hiding. The IPOB noisemakers urging you to continue to disobey lawful court orders won't be around to save you when shiit gets real.

Tompolo be like and what if the court says am innocent but EFCC refuse to release me what then??

He shud go explain to efcc and the courts. U do not hide in the creeks and be issuing senseless press releases.

This one does not concern me or Ndigbo. I get the impression this is just the case of a man defending his business interests rather than someone seeking for the restructuring of Nigeria.

I am also happy Igbos are not getting involved in this issue, but are concentrating on matters close to their hearts which range from resructuring to Biaafra.

Of course if I was in Tompolo's shoes, I will never surrender myself to Efcc as our judicial system has been unbelievably corrupted by the executive arm. There is no guarantee he will be freed even if the courts acquit him
