Hi Everyone! I wanna thank you all for the solidarity in bringing me back at this time as i got 6days less the time placed on my ban for an innocent mistake. Special thanks to Etfash, Deesom and all those who championed this, and also to those who have kept the thread alive like Irondome and the rest, of course not leaving out OUR BRAINY ZANDY (you single guys should shine your eyes very well o, especially those who won't be getting ITA soon grin)

Ok so, back to business. For those asking whether ICAN assessment will count towards getting points for 2 or more certificates, please note that any assessment result that does not equate whatever the qualification is as being a degree or a diploma or a certificate, won't get any score under educational factor therefore, ICAN which is being assessed as a professional study does not get scored. The only professional qualification i've seen that falls under the category as defined by CIC is ACCA, as it is assessed to be the equivalent of a 3year degree. Don't waste your time claiming points for 2certificates and at the end of the day when you have gotten ITA, CIC sees your ECA that one of the qulaifications is a professional study and then deduct your score which may then make you score less than the cut-off at that point, thereby rendering your application ineligible. You would have wasted time, hope and also your application fee of 550CAD as every application that doesn't sail through after ITA loses the application fee

Finally, for those interested in Quebec, the application date has been shifted to January 25 which means for those who are yet to open their account online with them still have the grace to do so. Pls note that Quebec charges application fee of 765CAD for principal applicant and 162 i think, for each dependant. Check the link below for the online registration. God bless you all

No, it does not raise a redflag, though it validates reasons to inquire more into your W/E claims during background check. it is understandable that some coys, particularly M/SME do not have website, thus, cannot have official email. In this case, a contact via that email may not be used but a physical visit by their agents may be applicable, if all other evidences are not convincing/sufficient.

@JesusDway,
First, welcome back.
Second, i understand your point in your response, but it seems what you said applies to only primary applicant, and if that is the case, i cant agree more with you.
However, in the case of spouse, perhaps it is different.
There is an option for spouse's level of education "Two-year program at a university, college, trade or technical in school, or other institute"
I think this should be okay since ICAN is an institute and it has been assessed as Two years professional study.

I don't think you can also use ICAN as two or more for a dependant ie spouse. The option states two year program....... and not two or more year program.

Hello People,

Great comments all the way. I scored 441 points (8.5 Ielts, 4 Years Experience, UK Bsc Wes has evaluated). I got the Ontario invite like everyone else. I have 2 questions for anyone that can help.

1. I am using my fixed deposit statements as proof of funds. Will this fly?
2. Payment is only via Money order, Postal order and Bank draft. I have been to every bank in Nigeria, but none of them can provide this. Anyone else with this challenge and how did you resolve it?

Kindly assist people!

My sis had this hurdle and equally had to scale it. If you have a family member in Canada that you completely trust and can transfer money to using Western Union, he/she can raise the bank draft using a Canadian bank account, you mail your credentials to her/him, he/she can help you submit your credential along side the bank draft.

We applied for Wes evaluation middle of November, My hubby has a foreign masters, so his evaluation was completed by second week in January. However mine is yet to be completed, I'm stuck waiting for verification from institution...... that's taking like forever.

Thanks. Will explore this option.

Any idea regarding fixed deposits?

Hello Zandora,

Been following this thread for about a week now. I heard about CEE around that time ( LastMa smiley ).

Its time to act on it anywaiz.

Just wanna confirm if all dis details still works to start the processing.

Also, which am i to pursue first IELTS or WES?

Am single, Below 30, with a BSC in Demography and Social Stat ( OAU ) .

Thanks to y'all for the good work.

zandora:
Hello all,

I've created this thread for Canadian Express Entry and outstanding FSW 2014 applicants since the previous thread became too long and has now been closed. I've also pasted a PDF link below which details the step by step instructions to apply for the Federal Skilled Workers Program via Express Entry.

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4gWGgP8Vy5lSjFoaC01ZUtOaTg/view

In order to apply for Express Entry via FSW you need to first have a minimum of 1 year full time (30 hrs a week) or 2 years part time (15 hrs a week) skilled work experience which falls under NOC code A,B or O. Check for your NOC code below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

Next take your IELTS General test.

Then evaluate your degree or credentials via WES Canada (the best option). See link below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/noc.asp

After doing the above, to find out if you've qualified you need to score a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSW grid. Calculate your score below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp

Now that you've qualified, you can go ahead and complete your Express Entry profile via the link below:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/profile.asp

Other things you must have:

Reference letters to verify the work experience you're claiming points for in the specified format below:

Written on company letterhead.

Signed by the responsible officers/supervisor.

Have the printed name and job title of the responsible officer/supervisor beneath the signature.

Show the company’s full address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail and website addresses

Stamped with the company’s official seal (if applicable)

The letter must include 5 things:

Your job title.

The dates of your employment (ideal format: DD/MM/YYYYY).

Your salary per year (or month).

Your average hours per week.

A detailed list of your employment duties.

Next you need to provide police certificates from all the countries you've resided in for 6 months and above since you were 18 years. See link on how to obtain PC from various countries below:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/infORmation/security/police-cert/index.asp

Then you need to provide proof of funds for you and/or your family:

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $11,931
2 $14,853
3 $18,260
4 $22,170
5 $25,145
6 $28,359
7 or more $31,574

Note: Birth certificates are no longer required for applicants but are only now required for your child/children.

Wishing you the best of luck smiley!

Everything still works. I advice you start both simultaneously as one does not impede the other.
You can register with WES and at the same time IELTS...submit your doc to WES and start prep for IELTS.
Some few stuffs has changed eg cost of IELTS is now 52k and proof of fund has increased a little

Good luck

After you submit you'll receive a message in your mycic account in PDF format. Open the pdf document and you'll see your score and how to register for job bank. However if you do not receive this message after a few days you'll have to delete your profile and create a new one because there's sometimes a glitch in the system.

When you are on the page of the first image you attached, click on the "2797743". The next page you see, click on "Document". At that point you will see the stage of your assessment process i.e if your certificate and transcript has been received and accepted.

what you may need to do then, is to expedite action from your institution to respond.

Login into your account, get to the page where details of your account showing your EE profile is displayed, you will see an icon 'Check Messages', click on it and the next page you will see is where your score is displayed. Scroll down that page and you will see your account details outlayed again, click on the details, it will drop down a little and you will see a short link that says 'click here'. Click that and the pdf message will download for you
