Egbon quick question, these russian and Belarusian trained soldiers, why don't they keep their trophy camouflage at home.
I agree it's badass, but are we not trying to attain a standard in that area?

At the moment, I don't think so. It doesn't seem like a priority for us.

Pls I need clarification on this pics.

Was this not the vessel agaugust said was NNS burutu class MPV. I guess it was constructed in our ship yard.

You posted something similar some months back when it was under construction.

However, in other to further develop our capacity to build ships we have built AFRICA’S LARGEST VESSEL FABRICATION AND INTEGRATION FACILITY.

Lagos Deep Offshore Logistics, LADOL/Samsung Heavy
Industries.
Heavy lifting area – 5,000 metric tons
Total area – 121,000 square meters
Production capacity – 12-15, 000 metric tons/year

I can assure you that whenever there is a new RFI for Navy Ships, the ships would be entirely built here in Nigeria. We already have multiple vessel fabrication facilities both in Lagos, Onne and Warri.

As we can all see from the last photo, there is already a vessel under construction.

That's serious o I heard port Harcourt naval yard have capacity to build a 10,000+ ton ship too.

Soon we will start building light amphibious ships.
I know we will be great and things are gradually taking shape we just need to pray for DICON.

The term and differentiation has entered into internatio al military parlance

Go onto an international forum and refer to the Special boat service as Sf and see what happens

Special Boat Service is called SF, not your imaginary SOF language. See how very wrong you are and how very right I am :

"The United Kingdom has recently added several new special forces units to its ranks, (the SRR & the SFSG), as well as bolstering the existing units (the SAS & the SBS), a move that signals a willingness to engage in the asymmetric warfare of the 21st century."

http://www.eliteukforces.info/

http://www.army.mod.uk/specialforces/30602.aspx

" Part of the United Kingdom's Special Forces, the Special Boat Service was originally the Special Boat Section when it was created."

OUR CHAKA C2 LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THIS JOKE HERE BELOW.

◘ Chaka C2 system is actually INFERIOR to Eagle system.

◘ Chaka C2 is ONLY for brigade sized forces and below....means maximum 5,000 troops coordination limited capability.

"Exercise Ndlovu, now underway, is expected to provide the South African Army and Joint Operations (J Ops) Division a first opportunity to test the recently-delivered Chaka brigade-and-below C2 system . "

http://www.defenceweb.co.za/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=20892

◘ Chaka C2 system is ONLY for small brigade sized military operations, NOT an entire battle space the size of Scotland.

Eagle system is for a whole army and air force in a battle space as big as Scotland in REAL-TIME network.

◘ The Eagle system commands and controls NA and NAF 30,000 troops and 100 aircraft spread all over North East Nigeria as big as Scotland.

I am sure the mature minded and honest Africans here will refuse to be misled by immature and glory seeking commentators who believe the rest of Africa is jungle bush while they only like in urban cities. Pity this continent, the kind of people we have at the tail of the map of Africa.

Eagle system is not a C2 system, unless you want to be laughed at. I repeat, Eagle command post is just an ordinary video conferencing that will not give you GPS of any area. It is not a C2 system and no where in the source does it claim to be a C2 system.

Monitors and projectors might be used on the command post for much broader resolution for all to see unlike having to congest a small screen of a laptop. Yes, some command post are complimented by video conferencing equipments as well for live communication but that has nothing to do with C2 system. Your command post has video conferencing but lacks C2 system.

Chaka C2 was designed and installed by the most respected and reputable company in the world by he name of SAAB GRINTEK after which it was competed by many companies across tge world and not some general in the army like in the case with Nigeria. Your eagle is not a C2 system. Amen.

STOP DECEIVING PEOPLE.

Bwahahahahaha… agaugust why are you this fool. Even a grade 1 pupil will outperform you in terms of thinking. Chaka C2 is for the whole army irrespective of how large our army will be in future. It covers the whole army. Why can't you stop this topic because here you call an ordinary VIDEO CONFERENCING a C2 system.

NIGERIA DOES NOT HAVE A C2 SYSTEM FOR NOW, MAYBE NEXT TIME IN FUTURE. BUT FOR NOW YOU DONT HAVE IT.

Why do you always have to spread your retardedness this thread??Just use your brain and think for once in your life, how would a single Nigerian General be able to develop a C2 system that's even 10%(not to mention "better" ) as capable as the Chaka C2 system, which took dozens of SAAB Grintek's best engineers years and years and millions of dollars to develop??

Its funny that these arguments always start with a provocative and stup1d post like this one from you and co......Yet after a while its blamed on us South Africans??

THE C2 SYTEM DOES NOT USE VIDEO. THAT WHICH WE SEE AGAUGUST SHOWING HAS TO DO WITH VIDEO AND IS NOT A C2 SYSTEM. WELL SOME MILITARIES MIGHT USE LIVE VISUALS IN CONCOMITANT WITH C2 SYSTEM ON THEIR COMMAND POST BUT MOSTLY ON AERIAL VIEW NOT HORIZONTAL VIEW. JUST LOOK AT AGAUGUST'S VISUALS, THEY COME ON HORIZONTAL VIEW AND ARE ALL LIVE VISUALS. TELL ME WHAT DOES THIS HAS TO DO WITH C2 SYTEM WHICH SHOWS MAPS, POSITION OF THE ENEMY, POSITION OF OWN FORCE, DISTANCE CALCULATIONS, ANALYSIS AND STRATEGIES, COMMUNICATIONS, GPS, COORDINATE OF THE TARGET, ECT? THAT IS PURELY NOT A C2 SYSTEM.

HERE UNDER IS CHAKA C2 SYSTEM.

Sure, the renovated Port-Harcourt shipyard can build 10,000 ton ships.

We also completed another Naval maintenance and repair yard in Calabar. We already have the capacity to deliver mega sized ships, the only thing left is the contracts to prosecute.

I just don't trust that DICON, the company should be sold in my opinion. They are getting another APC assembly line this year. So they should be able to double the capacity of APCs they can manufacture.
