Nigeria should swallow her pride and appoint okonjo iweala. we need her now more than ever. our current finance minister is clueless and daft. we all know that Igbos are naturally good managers and we also know what happened to the companies that fell victim indigenization policy. professionalism should supersede tribalism and party.

Ogun economy is not thesame with Nigeria's economy.

It's only a fool that squanders his savings knowing too well income is not forth coming quoting you "but she put in measures that didn't allow us feel the downslide".

In medical terms, the permanent way of tackling a pain is by treating the cause of the pain not only by inhibiting the "painful feeling "

why are you people like this? was it not your amaechi that was shouting that do the excess crude should be shared among the states. intact it was this sharing stuff that caused the crisis of Nigeria governor forum. who created the sovereign wealth fund which was used to bail out states

Out of hatred, gifted people like Okonjo Iweala, Stella Oteh and others will never serve this ungrateful country again. Even Soludo I believed he is being lobbied now to help out is also refusing to serve. I would prefer all Igbos in senior management position at any monetary, asset and fiscal manegement agencies to resign. Mr. Onyema of Stock Exchange...resign now and leave this ungrateful people alone. You think these best minds were playing under GEJ? They were workig their azz off. Nigeria is finished.

Wasn't she the most powerful minister during GEJ admin? Sotay some were even calling her "Prime Minister". She had so much power and influence that there's absolutely NO WAY in hell that she didn't know about all the thievery going on in that administration as Finance Minister who signs off on all financial matters at the centre. That alone has soiled her image for good. Of course there are other many allegations against her stewardship.

you have every tool to jail her @ your disposal. I am certain you have not jailed her because she is clean. But for now, please plead with her even in secret to give you clues on the way out. Nigerian economy is in a mess with no hope in sight.

But you'll have to go back memory lane.

Most annoying was reassuring Nigerians that the economy "was strong and stable" when oil market was going down far below budget benchmark errh. An economy that is dependent on oil.

Most of her policies though good but not ripe for the reality on ground.

I keep telling folks that what we are seeing now, started happening from the previous administration just that they polish it to keep the masses happy.

But everyone has faced reality. Now blaming it on this admistration.

Hahahaha. Look, you people need to get off your tribal high horses. Prof. Soludo that took your hero to the cleaners about her gross mismanagement of the country's finances is not a Yorubaman. If Iweala had guided GEJ adequately during her 6-year tenure as Finance Minister we won't be in this mess coz they would have SAVED all that money that was made during the oil boom days to better prepare Nigeria for the low oil prices we're experiencing, diversified the economy, and even curbed waste and corruption. And you are wrong about her leaving the dollar at 210, she left it at 215 and it has been downhill ever since then. I know she's your hero, maybe even from your state, but look, not all of us are high on your tribal weed. Receive sense, mr. man.

first thing I did was to check your moniker. I saw the name, hence I already know the kind of response I would get. I wish this administration can polish too. Great minds/people are known in challenges. Yes oil prices started dwindling months back but she put in measures that didn't allow us feel the downslide. I expect Saint APC party to do likewise and urgently too. We are suffering with no hope in sight.

please tell us how much she met dollar before she became minister of finance and left it at 215. In another news,if you want her as a finance minister is good. Just call all your governors in the south eats region and part of south south to give her south east/part of south south finance minister. She will perform better there but as for Nigeria she can't bring us back again to the era of lottery.

it won't be a new thing na. The EFCC we have now is trained by default to arrest all PDP members. We are used to that. corrupt ex-APC governors have been cleansed. So we are waiting for the time

Look, Nigeria has tried and tested her, and she has been found abysmally wanting. Those 'firms, govts and organizations' can have her because she is primarily responsible for where we are today. Iweala has been alleged to have forged statistics to mislead Nigerians about the true state of the economy. I don't care about your feelings about the current Finance Minister, that's your business and you are entitled to it. She's still being vetted and tested and will be judged in the fullness of time. As for Iweala, you can have her but Nigerian aren't interested. cheesy
