A police patrol pickup has been assigned to patrol Ilaje Bariga since Ambode became governor. This useless policemen were initially feared by these cultists, but the police and the said cultists now wine and dine together. This is an eyesore, I know this because I reside there. The police don't do nothing and these boys now smoke marijuana right in their presence and this coursed police officers won't do NOTHING!


The police don't do anything but ask people for money. They will sometime drive away to a beer joint around Oremeji junction to illegally arrest bike men along Ilaje road.


The reported arsonists are small boys not more than 16-19 yrs old- very small boys! These policemen know these boys and their leaders but the police won't arrest them. I don tire abeg

These boys are stark illiterates and very young. The police is to be blamed for this tragedy because a police patrol van has been assigned to patrol Ebute Ilaje Bariga which is the den of these boys. But the reverse is the case as the police is now the boys' guardian.

Back in the day at CMS Grammar School Bariga, news of cult warfare was never heard of, instead what you had was news of parties going on somewhere, sometimes by Baptacads boys, Igbobi College boys, Finbarrs boys or Grammerians themselves.
Most guys from schools around knew each other quite well and there was that sense of camaraderie or togetherness.
The war against cultism should start from secondary schools because, that is where cultism rears its ugly head from and its turning the whole of that neighbourhood into a very sinister zone.
