Exactly. There is no such thing as bad publicity. If anything, their patronage would drastically soar.

Please stop singing this tune.There's definitely a thing like bad publicity and u don't hv to attend a biz school to know this.
When for example people blast banks here on Nairaland it's bad publicity. That's y u c most of them reaching out to those customers. It's will certainly not b good publicity for a mgt of a restaurant to tag it Manchester united where u hv Chelsea arsenal Liverpool etc fans who all despise the brand.
In a country where tribalism rages, it's absolutely insensitive for a brand to come up with such a marketing stunt. In marketing they say "a bad advert can ruin a brand". All over the world u c companies withdrew adverts because they are seen to b in bad taste. It can spell doom for them.

Please again stop singing that line ok? Although it always sound good it's very wrong...popularity is clearly not notoriety.
