Arsenal's legend Patrick Vieira chose Mourinho ahead of Wenger when asked to pick his best manager - 'he had more influence on me'.

Vieira who spent nine years at Arsenal said Mourinho knew every thing about the opponent- their strengths and weaknesses, and also gave attention to details while Arsene Wenger concentrated on his team, and gives his players freedom to express themselves. Two very different styles.

He went on to add that Arsenal never approached him for a coaching role at the club having left under acrimonious circumstances. This expression of disappointment is coming at a time when former team mates Thiery Henry and Freddie Ljungberg have been offered coaching roles at London Colney.

Vieira himself has just been given the managerial job at New York City FC.
