Ask old serving corpers from OAU. You actually dont need ur certificate in camp. With ur statement of result and school ID card u will hv no p in registration in camp. H/ever, there is this RUMOUR that NYSC demands for certificate for those schools they know their certificates are ready ( still a rumour for me cos i ve only hrd of it on Nairaland).

Its not a rumour...... This is how it goes, Schools that have issued certificates communicate to NYSC that certificates have been issued so as to enable them not to request for I.D's from the students of such institutions... This I was told directly from the DSA and also Academic Unit. Whereby a student of a said school presents his/her SOR and ID in place of certificate while such school has issued out certs he/she is likely to incur the wrath of the camp officials.

My name came out on the portal as Ighravwe Graham Isaac. (This is how it is on my jamb slip)
But on my SOR and other certificates; it is Ighravwe Isaac Graham.
Now my question is: Would this be a problem to me?
And if it is, What is the solution?

This issue had been attended to, whereby you must get your certificate while dropping your orginal ID card after photocopied because OAU is no more issuing SOR.
Therefore get your photocopied ID card+certificate to camp for reg.

Like, if you want to apply for International Passport, your last name will be your surname, first name and middle name must be clearly stated.
Shouldn't be mixed up.

Pls this question is directed to OAU pcm in the house or anyone that is enlightened about this issue, is it compulsory for me to collect my certificate before I go to camp cos the school id card will be collected at the senate when I request for my certificate and I heard that the id card will be needed in the camp. Can't I just collect my certificate after the 3wks in camp or the certificate will be needed in the camp as well?

Well, i'd advice you make a photocopy of your ID card. and go for your certificate.

But if you don't have the money for it, just collect your SOR
