First things first
Chelsea won fair and square. No controversy. We seem to still have that mental block against them. We need to overcome that.
We'll meet them again next season in the FA or League Cup if they don't win their current relegation battle.
On Giroud's sub
Honestly we had to choice but to take off Giroud. Take of Walcott/Campbell and we'll be weak on the left/right. Our midfield was totally overrun and no way we would have sacrificed any midfielder to play in his or Campbell's place. Unfortunately, Giroud himself is too limited. I'm not sure we could have used him on the left/right. It was a hard decision but it had to be made.

On our game
No more Mr Nice guy....
I don't know what Arsene gives his wards to eat but our players are just too nice! Two things I'd like to point out

1. We were one man down and a goal down as well, I would have expected us to take advantage of every small issue. Most other team would have targeted Costa all through the game. Also Matic and Fabregas were on yellow at some point in the game. Target them, rile them, get on their nerves. Do anything to ensure parity in terms of number of players

2. Koscielny got the ball from Alexis and in the box, Zouma had a slight touch. He staggered, why didn't he go down? Get a penalty or at least try to get one!

No excuses about the game though. I just think sometimes we need to toughen up. Our games against Chelsea require this. Reminds me of our games against United during Fergie's era.

By the way, all those slating Santi, I hope you all now see his contributions to the team? Santi is probably the only midfielder we have who can bring the ball out of defence without losing it. The others are only good at short passes. Get well soon Santi. Good news is that Coquelin is back in training.

On title run
Do we have the players to win the title...YES
Are our fixtures favourable? YES
Can we win the title? YES
Will we win the title? It's down to Wenger and his boys. We dropped our heads a bit when Per was sent off yesterday. Our reaction to this game will goal along way. We need to get a few games under our belt now and just write January off as a bad month for the team.

Next game Burnley
Those looking forward to see Elneny, well, here's your chance.
I like reading your analysis because they are quite intelligent.

I would like to disagree with you on the Giroud sub. The only excuse worth it was that Giroud was only passed fit on match day besides which Walcott should have been scape goat (since he was being honoured on the day as skipper, then Campbell).

Giroud would have been most vital being one man down,
-he has the presence and stamina to face both centre backs
-he is better in the air, an advantage for set pieces
-he can hold up the ball, allowing us to use long balls when passing is difficult
-his link up play would have given the team better width
-he is a better target man
-he would have gotten to the end of those chances Flamini missed
-etc, etc.

Thanks for the compliment smiley

All the qualities you listed about Giroud are all correct but we were one man down yesterday and we had to keep shape. Taking out any of the wingers would have put pressure on the full back and all Chelsea would have done is to pile pressure on that side of our team.

If we were playing 11 v 11, that's a different story.

Dude... do you watch arsenal games at all...?!

Even if we employ the long ball... Our striker Giroud is never in position... who are we long balling too...?! Giroud 80% of the time scores from set pieces and corner kicks...

It's better of if we don't play a striker at all... you know wahala dey when your striker is playing in No 4 position... Is that where he should be...?!

I think it is pretty daft and dimwitted for MUFC and Chelsea fans to talk about winning the league or any major silverware this season
The disastrous season both are having so far makes that talk absolutely senseless.
Chelsea focus on steering yourselves clear of relegation and MUFC focus on scoring goals!!!

Those fans have been looking for that moment since the Bayern loss to dizz the gunners, thankfully, they eventually got it after a very good run of games from the gunners

Let them be happy while it lasts before we embark on another decent run till barca cheesy

We don't have crisis like them, they ill still sack their respective managers for failure to play good foosball and good run of games

Even Mourinho won't beat his chest when he's 5 points ahead that he'll win the EPL. Out and out chest beating before the final game that gives you the EPL trophy is just nonsense.

Long enough to know that Assnal have not won the league for 11+ years..
Long enough to know that Arsene doesn't have an European winners medal.
Long enough to know assnal and her fans dread the months of Feb, March, April.
Long enough to know "next season is our season" is the slogan of assnal and her fans.
Long enough to know assnal fans gives the word "patience" its true meaning..
Long enough to knw assnal defines the saying "what goes up must surely come down".
Long enough to know that d elf can't dispute any of the above mentioned.

why can't u argue without a cuss word, were u born under a spell or christened by a witch/babalawo?

We all knew Mou was just being respectful. Ask him privately and he'll tell u he worn the league since December.
Even if Arsenal is 15points ahead by May, her fans can't cos they knw assnal is as unstable as naija. NEPA.

You reechoed my point. In private Mou would have felt he'd win the CL and make CL football next season with Chelsea. But in public, he'd have played things cool till it happened. You don't see Leicester, Man City or even Barca talking about having won the league do you?

Everybody does this just that for Arsenal it's suddenly a sign of weakness.
