Based on Google scholar citation which is the real evidence of online presence. So many UNN lecturers are even yet to link their publications to their Google scholar and if they do.... No school will beat them in this country. They publish papers very well. I met a snr lecturer recently that is not even a prof but have 123 publications while Google scholar is just seeing 64.

in 2014 Nigeria scored 27, in 2015 Nigeria scored 26...is this progression or retrogression? And the guys above are hailing that as an improvement. Its either those guys cant read and comprehend or they are mischievously blinded by the truth. Before anyone quotes and tell me GEJ was in charge in 2015, he presided over for 4 months while PMB presided over for 8 months. Now tell yourself the truth. God bless

Buharis war against corruption will have only very limited impart.

The best way to fight corruption is by building very strong institutions especially institutions to fight corruption. This is different from simply punishing people who are corrupt.

The governmemt also needs to implement more free market policies which reduces the room for corruption. Reducing import duties will reduce the need to bring customs.

Unfortunately he is doing the complete opposite. He is instintively anti-market with his ststist policies. The foriegn exchange restrictions which has left the official rate at 197 and the black market at 305 is a case in point. This simply encourages corruption.

After all the noise about fighting corruption in Nigeria since May 2015, we're even losing a point_ down to 26 from last year's 27??
However, Transparency International doesn't have the final say on whether or not a country is corrupt.
