I don't think Nnamdi Kanu made any mistake coming into Nigeria. There's no way he could have claimed to be an authentic freedom fighter if he could not return to fight his cause. His coming and his subsequent arrest is why Biafra is one of the most hotly discussed topic in Nigeria. His coming back is why all major news stations from Aljazeera to CNN to BBC have talked about Biafra to their global audience. Kanu's return exposed Buhari to the world media as an unrepentant tyrant. There are many positives to Kanu return and the treasonable charges against him are just baseless
People like you are Kanu's greatest enemies. You'd rather have him die to prove he's got balls than see him set free while Nigeria remains intact, knowing fully well that either way, Nigeria will remain in one piece.

the fact remains that if nnamdi kanu had succeeded in entering and leaving nigeria without being arrested, he would have been a successful billionnaire by now.

he would have been on radio, yapping up and down on how untouchable he is and also canvassing for more money and donations from people. he would have been travelling to all countries where there are Igbos canvassing for money and support and using his trip to nigeria to convince them. he would have came up with all sort of lies on how he met with kings and queens and how he came to inspect the biafra army during his visit and how he is also inspected the biafra defence headquaters in onitsha and other lies.

his coming to nigeria is akin to a fraudster taking his white maga to an arranged CBN office to wash dollars. a very risky move as the fraudster can be arrested, however, it is a key move that is used to prove legality hence they can bleed the maga dry.

this exactly was nnamdi's tactic but it has backfired big time. cheesy

he holds a bristish passport. if his struggle was genuine, by now the british authorities/diplomats would have been on nigeria's case asking him to be released. however, they are fully aware he is a fraudster and they are happy to get him off their land. if nnamdi is not careful, his UK citizenship might be revoked. he is a terroist and now all terroists involved in terror or instigating war in other countries have their citizenship stripped off cheesy grin
This is wat we Nigerians are good at, digging up analysis upon analysis just to blackmail one another. All these energy you used in digging up and typing this could be chanelled to finding solutions to our problems in this country.

When it comes to spreading hate and tribalism, we all suddenly become historians and researchers. Today its Kanu, tommorow it may be your brother. Same way we have been calling the Economist out for insulting Jonathan, but actually we set the precedent.
Kanu might be wrong, but your standpoint is political and tribal with hatred written all over it, that is wrong.

Nnamdi kanu was very tactless in his so-called agitation. What was he thinking when he stepped into Nigeria(The Zoo)? Didn't he know that the Nigerian government would be out looking for every opportunity to arrest him? Buhari would have been seen as a very weak president if Kanu had stepped into Nigeria without being arrested. Buhari did what any sane president would have done to keep his reputation intact.

I bet he must have thought that coming into Nigeria would make him look brave but he failed to realise that there is a difference between failure and stupidity.

When people want to fight with a sitting government they usually do so from outside the country but Nnamdi Kanu failed to understand this very simple fact.

Entering Nigeria was the height of stupidity on the part of Nnamdi Kanu and he might end up being executed.
It is better to die for an idea that will live than to live for an idea that will die.

Kanu owes no one an apology. If he was hiding away in london, your likes would have claimed that he is fraud using people children for selfish ends. For him to come down and lead from the front what he believes in makes him THE LEGITIMATE LEADER OF THE STRUGGLE. He wants out from a country filled with haters like you and he has the right to ask for that.

But who is doing the killing? Who is going to kill Nnamdi Kanu? Who is shooting and killing IPOB members? Who is doing the persecution? Who is doing the jailing? The answer is Nigeria. Kanu has killed no one, he has jailed no one, he has persecuted no one. His crime was to say things that might not be palatable to some ears. Ask the important questions. The problem is Nigeria not Kanu. As for Nigeria staying one, all I can say is that the Igbo/Yoruba/Hausa-Fulani man one lived in west Africa for over 4 thousand years without being one until a certain chap called Lugard came on the scene 100 years ago. If those guys could stay without each for over 4 thousand years, you find out that there is nothing spectacular about the enforced unity of Nigeria

that's why one should be ready to take responsibilities for his or her action. for fact that some ppl have committed murder in the past and got away with it doesn't make it right neither doesn't make it unpunishable. what was kanu smoking when he embarked on the journey of self destruction

Let me tell u my friend! The reason those media outlets u mentioned aired the biafra issue was because of Nigeria's massive and intimidating population! 2nd, we ve millions of Nig worldwide residing outside Nig! That's d reason we ve BBC hausa and other languages in nig today! If countries with as low as 5mil citizens cud ve less significant issues aired, so why no this?

I think I luv this ur analogy which is equally applicable to ur biafra trying at all cost lump itself with d SS! Was the SS and ibo together b4 Lord Lugard?

There was nothing called SS before Lugard came but there was something called Igbo long before Lugard was even born.

Was Ibo villages ever a single entity before Lugard? They were supposed to be autonomous, independent villages, so Lugard did a favour by unifying them. There was never anything called Biafra in existence before Nigeria and there was never any Ibo country or empire in existence anytime in history.

Kanu was an Onitsha spare part seller. He wanted to use that bloody civilian mentality to secede from Nigeria. DSS, get ride of Kanu and other Biafran thugs.

Now the shepherd is offering himself as a sacrificial lamb, that the sheep would understand the enormity of hatred of the oppressors, that they might understand that the price of freedom come in Blood, that they might follow his lead and his actions and not just his words.

Never again will the shepherd be accused of staying in the safety of UK while sending the flock to slaughter, the shepherd is leading from the front, that the struggle might yet live.

Years from now, generations unborn would remember this great sacrifice, for what sacrifice is greater than a man laying down his life, his ambitions, his freedom for the sake of the freedom of a nation and his people.
Songs will be sang with his name, edifices will be erected after him, roads named after him, but most importantly, his name will be written eternally in the hearts of his people.

Cry not for Kanu Nigerians, weep for yourselves.
