Your point only points to the fact that Nigeria is run by the Northern folks in Nigeria. That has nothing to do with Nigeria being geographically placed in North Africa as CNN did.

Why should they try to use geographical terms when their reporters dont understand geography? This means CNN is confused and expects everyone to believe them with their confusion.

Stark illiterate, if you actually do proper geographical measurement of Africa - you'd see that Nigeria is in West Africa cos the Nothern part of Africa is far bigger than the Southern part of Africa.

That's the same propaganda Europeans post everywhere by making Africa look smaller than it actually is in pictures, when in reality it is by far the biggest continent. And the same propaganda they used to cutting the Middle East out of Africa, when the Middle East used to be part of Africa on all old maps.

KANO STATE is in the NORTH-WEST geopolitical zone of Nigeria....
Thence, will I be wrong to say KANO STATE is a geographical location in NORTHERN Nigeria?

The equator is responsible for the division and the result is North and South....
Geographically, you either be in the north or in the south....Further divisions may suffice though...

My point is we should try and see things in others' perspectives too and not just be stereotypical in our judgements of views different of ours...though the CNN reporter might be wrong, we still could understand the message he had to pass...

Yep... If you divide Africa like that, Algeria goes to the western side wile Sudan, Ethiopia and co goes to the East.
North, South, East and West are side expressions not permanent anything. African could chose to add Cameroon to West Africa and it changes nothing, they could also call them Central Africa and they keep exciting. Widen up your thoughts.

California is in Western America while New York is in the East. There is Brazil, Colombia and others in the South.

Remember we are talking about America, north United States.
