APC is increasingly showing itself to be a SCAM to even its own supporters. The Confused One is showing that his packaging as an incorruptible man of integrity was & is a FRAUD. How can they make us, the citizens PAY their government fuel subsidy? How did we end up with these CONMEN and 419ers? How ![]() www.nairaland.com/attachments/3234361_fbimg1450823846843_jpegccc7ea9d509141b638a64535ab185d08 www.nairaland.com/attachments/3295800_3244741fbimg1450784049468jpegf31986bba423747c410ab0bdd748a08c_jpeg_jpeg1e155ce833b920606a5e5440b4db8ba1 www.nairaland.com/attachments/3115090_seunoloketuyi1223747310596353674000681876567738n_jpegf23910bd963a3dbb9d74ad4621bdda8b www.nairaland.com/attachments/3252479_img20160103103227_jpegc267729d8628fd994230adedd6d053b8 |

Am optimistic that before the end of Buhari adminstration, the price of PMS will come down to #3.00 since Nigeria is the biggest producer of oil in Africa and yet it was gathered that the same fuel that sells for N86.50 per litre (without payment of subsidy) in Nigeria goes for between N4 and N5 in Venezuela and N22 in Libya...... Therefore, we couldn't expect less from our government....and we are not asking for too much......we must sell below other countries since we are the giant of Africa. ![]() BTW, You can now successfully get rid of excess body fats, check my signature for more details. |

Observant:Before you blame the current administration go check the cost of crude and the cost of refining a barrel first. Now, how many working refineries do the country have? Because this things are imported with USD. Blame the administration that promised us refineries and diverted the funds when subsidy was partially removed. |

This government is scam and hypocrisy of the highest order. They used their mischievous propaganda and lies to destroy the last administration and deceive people into voting them into power. Posterity will judge. |

There is a claimed removal of subsidy now and you are not feeling it,when the price of oil increase again in future $100 per barrel you will knon we have a gambling govt without plans. |

creflo22:It is left to Nigerians to decide that. Are you saying that they should keep deceiving us and play on our intelligence and patience? Almost everything they accused the last administration of is what they are doing right now. Crude oil went down by 40% during GEJ's tenure, he reduced the price of petrol and removed part of the subsidy, APC and their wailers was crying fowl as if they had the interest of the masses at heart. Crude oil price went down further by another 50% but the scam APC government reduced the price by 50kobo without any explanation to Nigerians. What could be more insulting than that? No economic direction, no roadmap, rule of law is nowhere to be found, president has turned himself to the judge. in 2019, Nigerians will decide what they want. I just hope and pray that we will still have one Nigeria by then. |

what the author has failed to observe is that we still import fuel. Whatever gain from the drop in the price of crude has been swallowed by the fall in the Naira |

Muhammadu Buhari, on Monday said he would ensure that the Naira was equal to the dollar in value, if voted into office. Buhari stated this during the South-East presidential rally of the party at Dan Anyima Stadium, Owerri. “It is sad that the value of the naira has dropped to more than N230 to one dollar; this does not speak well for the nation’s economy,’’ he said. anonimi:you either want to understand or you want to hurl abuses. if you want to understand, then it is simple 1) International Oil prices have fallen to a point where the government no longer needs to subsidize petrol 2) however the falling price of Oil is a double edged sword which also has a consequence for our foreign exchange as lower crude receipts mean lower forex revenues, which puts pressure on the forex reserves and hence the Naira. All countries which are commodity producers have seen their currencies fall from Canada, to Russia, to Brazil to Venezuela etc etc. 3) since we import petrol and have to pay in forex, it means we are paying more in Naira. In a laymans non-scientific way of putting it for the sake of those who are interested in actually understanding, fall in price of international crude take the cost of petrol at the pump to say N60 per liter, however fall in Naira has raised the cost of petrol back to about N85 such that net-net effect is Zeo. If we were not importing petrol this would be a different matter. The fcat that we import petrol in itself is responsible for significant pressure on the Naira as so much of our forex is used to finance fuel importation. |

Canada is an oil producing country, with numerous local refineries, the price of PMS is: 1. @CBN Rate of 200/$: 172/ltr 2. @Aboki Rate of 300/$: 258/ltr. We must be doing something in Nigeria to sell it at 86.50/ltr. |

Youngzedd:My brother I may quoted what ex Lagos state governor said. When crude was $60 barely 10months ago, the then administration remove N10, but he insisted it wasn't enough while David Tam west said it should sell for N45. Please note that the situation you mentioned above was still obtainable even 2yrs ago. |
