I tell you. That's why Nigeria cannot succeed. Its beyond corruption. The very fabric of this nation is being torn asunder by the very peoples who should be seeking shelter underneath it. How can any sane mind wish the success and progress of this unfortunate war for ANY reason. While their brothers, sisters are being slaughtered and their resources wasted. The divisions created by ALL Nigerians will destroy this country if we do not restructure in good time. A house divided against itself CANNOT prevail against BokoHaram or any other challenge of truly national proportions.

Projections and extrapolations:

Something else that Nigeria has to project for are lessons from Central Africa. The conflict situation in that resource laden region of Africa, since the general African Nations Independence of 1962, has proven rich picking ground for the relevant Western Powers. As that conflict arena thankfully wanes, probably exhausted, there is need to allow it to recover for the next thirty years ( all things being equal) before outside forces again begin to groom some idiots (strong man types) to cause renewed violence and conflict. Anyway, as conflict dies in that region, another part of Africa needs to be plunged into money making conflict. This new region could be West Africa or the region encompassing Nigeria Cameroon, including Kenya right down to Somalia, perhaps licking the the borders of North Africa, namely Mali, Libya etc.

In another scenario, since Central Africa region remains resource heavy, exploiters may be loath to allow it to lay fallow for sometime and may instead want to reinvigorate that theater with the addition of Nigeria, Chad and Cameroon.

In any case, whatever the truth, Nigeria no longer can Afford to remain young, free and irresponsible. We need to start looking at the world with open eyes with a view to safeguarding our interest/sovereignty. Since we often seem to like copying the West, why don't we ask ourselves why all western nations have Spy Agencies? Are Western Nations simply paranoid? You can safely bet your house that between them the Western powers have a spy operating actively in every nation in Africa. Right now, there are Nigerians spying on Nigeria for the Americans. Again, why do the World Nations spend so much on defense if the world is just such a honky-dory safe place and Self-Interest-Projections are simply what conspiracy theorists do?

Nigerian Politicians please wake up and stop chasing your Abgadas, red felt caps, Koran and oil money at the expence of your Nation and peoples'. Too many Nigerians are dying all over the place, it is time to start accepting that Nigeria is no longer really just a third world nation with all the innocence and freedoms that goes with it. Nigeria is now a grown up, start securing your house and preparing for old-age.

On the home front
Just like America instigated the end of freewheeling criminality with the creation of Texas Rangers and Eliot Ness grin we need to get serious with policing and law and order. Like Wyatt Earp rode against the Cowboys and tamed the wild-west, Nigeria needs to declare a ruthless war on vice and all grievous criminality. All those armed robbery incidents need to be eliminated or reduced significantly. Cultists need to go be destroyed. Oil-pipline terrorists need to be gunned down. Bokoharam terrorists annihilated even across the borders into Chad, Niger and Cameroon. We need to enact building laws and vigorously apply them. No room for sentimentality for where ones our chaotic situation in Nigeria was a source of creativity, laughter and fun, murderous bastards have exploited it to bring misery to the lives of innocent Nigerians .

And know me well enough to pass this judgement on me? This is still what I meant with my first statement. All we know how to do is insult and tear down. I have personally made a resolution to live a life of forebearance and enlightenment. Dont know about you.

it is not a good thing to criticize leaders but it is a seed sown by APC that has germinated. I am afraid we have to live with it. Moreover they have planted more seeds. Eg.. One-sided appointments, hunting down opposition as corruption fighting, disregard for rule of law and court judgements, lies and media propaganda, denials etc.. Mind you, when these new seeds germinate, I doubt if we will still have a country to call ours!
