I actually watched all the documentary I think on TVC and what Stella was addressing is just a tip outta many. That lady said a whole lot of bad stuffs including nollywood having a single story line, actors portraying a single character in various movies and all. It was kinda true buh the solution she suggested was like we should throw away our history by changing the name so to change the way the industry is viewed.. That's what I will never support cos a whole lot of people got us where we are and people like tunde kelani and the afolayans where among this people that start the industry and still in the quest for correcting any negative impression it once had and will never want that kind of solution. Not changing the fact that nollywood paved the way for most of this young generations even across Africa

Stella dear, don't even mind an envious fellow African.
As much as they say bad about us we don't even notice them. They are seriously pained.

We are the biggest self-critics in the world. Nigerians criticise themselves and their leaders more than other African countries.

We also openly lament our problems, meaning we seek to be better, albeit at the speed of snail.

We don't need any other jealous, overwhelmed Africans to backbite us or display their xenophobia.

Let them mind their business. She can call their own Kenkenwood, Kumasiwood or Fufuwood if she likes. We don't watch & we don't care. grin cheesy tongue
For lots of Ghanaians, beefing Nigeria/Nigerians is their lifetime commitment. We hardly ever notice though.

If dem born you well, say it to my face. cool

You have not seen anything yet, Ghanaians hate Nigeria more than anything in world, believe me the are very envious of Nigeria/Nigerians (but they always pretend to love Nigerians). If only Nigerians know how they bad mouth Nigeria to other nationals you won't drink water from a Ghanaian. Ghanaians suffer from inferior complex. If you know all these Stella Damascus you won't feel bad about what she said.

But but, why she dey drink penadol for what she thinks is another man's headache?

She is not part of Nollywood, if anything she should be advising Ghanian movie industry instead i.e. If she is in the capacity to do that.

Envious of nigeria and Nigerians for what reason? Please we have better things to do than be envious of an insignificant country called Nigeria.

Leila has also insulted Ghanaians hence she said she will never produced any movie in Ghana. Leila is just a rude gal it has nothing to do with Nigeria. We don't really check for Nigerians.

No they weren't most of the actors and actress became famous from the movie Beyoncé and that's the movie that got foreigners interested in nollywood.

Ghana started the movie industry and Nigeria copied. First movies made in west Africa were from Ghana. Go read on your history.

I only comment on matters concerning Ghana. I haven't been on this site in months because Ghanaian topics are all time low.

You guys b!tch too much a little research will tell you that the lady in question is rude. She has insulted Ghanaians also, she even vowed not produce movies in Ghana. This's not about Nigeria because Nigerians is too insignificant to waste time on.

Point of correction, Tunde Kelani and Afolayan never started Nollywood in any of its ramifications. Please go back and study the history of the movie industry known as Nollywood today.

You are sore loser.

Nigeria stares at you everywhere you turn when you are in Ghana.. Banks, telecoms, entertainment, other businesses, students, and the ugly elements of course.

You feel so invaded cum embittered, now you suffer from apparent denial and a creeping inferiority complex.

In case you are a member of the diaspora (or not), I'd advise you git off NL fast and get 'home' asap before that naija guy drills your babe thru leaving you a gaping hole.

Yank your head from the sand you this ostrich and deal with realities like a man!!
