Nigerians should stop being religious about jobs. Are you implying that God "favoured" you over possible thousands who also applied? Which is quite unfair if you ask me.
Had it been the economy was good and jobs were readily available, all these giving of tithe to a random pastor instead of your parents wouldn't be happening.

I'm not an atheist, but the over religiosity of majority of Nigerians is ridiculous when compared to the fact that there's nothing to show for it. Your statement doesn't hold in places such as Singapore, United States, Japan, Hong Kong etc where the governments there are ensuring their economy gets better and stronger to produce needed jobs and employment opportunities for their inhabitants. That's how things are done and not spending a whole day in vigil service.

God in his infinite mercy choose to give grace in any form he deems fit. Who says,he dosen't hold ground in those cities you mentioned?

Its an individual thing and not usually a group of people as you said. The cities you mentioned face a lot of natural disasters which we rarely see in this part of the world.Is that not grace or do you think hiroshima,landslides and earthquakes of 5.8magnittude are fake?

Some of your mates are struggling to pass Jamb,some in the hospital and some dead. Is that not grace? I also know you have witnessed lots of incidences where you were astonished when you realise your conclusion was not the result.

Hosea 4:6a makes a lot of sense. God is not of double standard. The way He will judge the American, German, etc is same way He will judge a Nigerian. Have you bothered to ask why there was plenty in the land of Egypt in a period of acute scarcity in Canaan and other parts of the world? My brother if God has helped you, appreciate him. Stop comparing us with the US, UK,etc. They were once worse than we are today but they saw into the future and invested in it. Ours is the reverse; selfishness and wickedness.
