Few minutes ago, a friend called me from Imo State. She woke up this morning and found out that rats had bitten the tips of her toes. she even bled on the big toe. I'm posting this with regards to the current cases of Lassa hemorrhagic fever ravaging the country. Though cases of the disease have not emerged from her area of residence l am wondering if it would be safe for her to ignore the bite, take some antibiotics or antiviral capsules and move on or what line of action can she take??

I don't think dere is any cause for alarm , , cos Rat ate my toe also wen I wan in skul den I still remember that night on my hostel bed!!! I woke up to see part of my toe as been scrape with rat teeth!!!!! I wonder how I did not woke all through wen he was eatin it!!!!

I can understand rats or mice picking on human flesh but actually biting it and resulting in bleeding is strange. Tell your friend to say the truth...it might be atomic rats or spiritual ones
