I'm posting this with regards to the current cases of Lassa hemorrhagic fever ravaging the country. Though cases of the disease have not emerged from her area of residence l am wondering if it would be safe for her to ignore the bite, take some antibiotics or antiviral capsules and move on or what line of action can she take??

Since western economies collapsed few years ago, there's no type of disease that haven't surfaced in Africa. We've had Ebola, SARS, Lasser fever. Just 3 days ago new report pop out saying antiviral medicines for AIDS no longer work. A new type of AIDS is in town!.

It's unfortunately not a small thing. Let her immediately go to the nearest general hospital and report there. They will direct her if there are any precautionary drugs she can take and recommend isolation if necessary. No need infecting the rest of her family if she is unfortunately infected herself..

I don't think dere is any cause for alarm , , cos Rat ate my toe also wen I wan in skul den I still remember that night on my hostel bed!!! I woke up to see part of my toe as been scrape with rat teeth!!!!! I wonder how I did not woke all through wen he was eatin it!!!!

Thank God there was no lassa fever outbreak while we were in boarding house. Rats use to chop pple's toes and fingers like kilode. I had a roommate then who was their regulate customer (she was d fattest in d room), they chop her almost everyday, she ran to top bunk same thing, wore socks, they chop d socks wt it. It was always so hilarious. I wonder why they neva bit me tho, maybe they were pitying me cos I no get flesh for body b4
