Even though I am an ardent fan of the APC, the alleged statement credited to Oyegun is the most uncharitable, irresponsible and careless statement any leader of a ruling party in Nigeria could make. It is shamefully baffling, to say the least!

But then, I wonder why the Supreme court has been upturning the rulings of the lower courts like water. Are we saying the lower courts judges are all incompetent or what? There is more to these whole rulings than meet the eyes. Nigeria, I hail thee!

Maybe it's because the Supreme Court justices are braver. They have nothing to fear, they are not looking for any promotion. The Justices in the lower courts maybe want to appear to be on the right side of govt so that their carriers may benefit.

Either way Oyegun's statement was the height of stupidity. In a more advanced country he would have been forced to retire by now

Chief Oyegun should be ashamed of himself if he really said what he is quoted as saying. That was really irresponsible, coming from someone that should be an elder statesman. He should step down as APC chairman. I hope the NBA should not let this slide.

He's playing with the heart of the gullible ones and I'm amazed how they are falling for his theatrics.
