The Buhari Media Support Group (BMSG) has said that the the anti corruption war waged by President Muhammadu Buhari is yielding success which has led to the delisting of the country from the list of corrupt countries as compiled by Transparency International (TI).

In a press statement signed by the group’s national coordinator, Muhammad Labbo and the secretary, Cassidy Madueke, yesterday in Abuja, the group said that the campaign is gradually changing the image of the country to one where corrupt acts are no longer welcomed.

The group added that in the latest ranking of corrupt countries in the world over by TI, the name of Nigeria is conspicuously missing.

According to the BMSG, the anti-corruption war of the president, despite the cynicism of partakers in the ruinous looting of the country, is having the desired impact, nationally and internationally and has unmasked the true colour of many prominent persons and wealthy individuals in Nigeria.

A welcome development but that is on paper.Well done PMB.But so long as we still have this current set of politicians,in reality Nigeria tops the list of most corrupt in the world

Luxurious shops in Dubai, London and New York have all reported reduced patronage from Nigerian politicians. International estate realtors have all seen a drastic cut in investment from Nigerian politicians. The TSA has blocked leakages and corrupt politicians are been held to account

The problem is this is the kind of thinking that has brought us to where we are as a country. You don't become great just by calling yourself great, you actually have to do the work to become great. All this "it is well" "it shall be well" mentally foisted upon our pysche by Pentecostal preachers actually inhibit our progress because we just talk and do nothing and wait for God to propel us to greatness.


Nigeria CAN become a great country IF we do what is required, not by saying it shall be well and then sitting down in our houses and going about things in our usual ways. We have been talking about the huge resiurces and potential of Nigeria for decades, at some point we muststart to ask ourselves why the potential is not transforming into results and ultimately you will find it's down to our mentality. God is not going to solve our problems for us when he has already given us the tools to solve our problems.

Let us stop this "it shall be well" mentality and actually work towards things being well!
