While growing up, I always attend evening mass with my friends on ash Wednesdays with the hope that the ash on our foreheads would not wipe off, we feel it gives us some kind of swag and protection.. *small boys thinking...
Meanwhile for this lenten period, I will try and abstain from sin God willing, give alms to the needy and also pray more..

Trying to reduce your level of sin because of lent season is simply religious hypocrisy and legalistic way of life. What happens after lent, you go back to satisfying the desires of the flesh?
True repentance is without season and only comes when a man's heart is changed from within by the word and holy spirit.

Ash Wednesday isn't a catholic only celebration, I can't speak for others, bt i'm Anglican n it's a church tradition

I need serious purification..... my sins too gbasky

I dont have a single plan apart from the normal routine of my little life which is go to work,patiently wait for break for my bag of pop corn and grand nut and then patiently wait for closing for me to go home to eat and sleep.
