Recently Glo network provider has been on the center stage of data plans and they've been on top of their game with plans and counter plans. But then one thing is noteworthy and somewhat worrisome, that is the issue with reliability on the part of Glo. Some have claimed disappearance of data connection for minutes, hours, days and even weeks in some extreme situations. So, they (Glo) offer you 1.5gb at 1k(some others get 6gb at this price), 4.5gb at 2.5k,3gb at 2k, 12gb at 5k and a whooping 24gb at 8k but most times you're not able to use 1/10 of the whole thing due to poor network. Is it better to use this Glo or stay with Airtel, etisalat and mtn even thought they have way smaller bandwidth to offer.
Quantity or quality, which do you prefer? How's Glo connection generally in your area??
**Mods pls do the needful too, let's hear how Glo is fairing nationwide. Who knows, they might be reading too.

Yea they had such problem towards late last year & early January but the network is quite stable & swift now. Rocking my 3gk at 1k without any ish

Their data service is simply horrible to say the least.

I can't use it on Edge only on 3G.

there's no glo in IMO State as a whole, horrible network.

both their Edge and 3G is very worse here in unilag

Glo is more than a nightmare in ugbowo Benin city here, I nearly broke my phone out of frustration from their network. Am already using airtel now though I didn't finish my last bundle from Glo cos of poor network

Alright... I'm back. Just bought the line, it's in my phone now and here are my experiences...
1. This happens to be my first time of using glo here since there is no glo mast in this area. Mtn, Etisalat and airtel all have their mast here and I've tried browsing with each of them.
2. The glo network is not steady in my phone. It's just fluctuating. But When it appears, it shows H+ and downloads very fast (nearly 200kb/s), browsing faster than MTN, Etisalat and airtel that all have their mast here.
3. It doesn't stop browsing as far as there's network. Even at 1bar, it still download and open pages (something I haven't experienced with MTN and Etisalat). How I wish it was steady.
Glo should work hard to make their network steady. They should expand their network by building more mast. I think glo will be the best network here if the can build at least 1 Booster mast here.

Very frustrating in all parts of Delta State that I have been. Day time, my top speed doesn't exceed 27KB/sec on H+. Switched to MTN and visafone. Prefer managing visafone that gives me 48KB/sec. But MTN gives me 1.8MB/sec

that is not true. places like the univeristy town abraka campus two to be precise, effurun are not experiecing that. this is based on my findings and feed backs from those in those areas

The fastest network provider in my hood , unfortunately it disconnects frequently even when downloading.

So if almost everybody is experiencing very poor or near zero network, so why can't Glo do the needful? In my area here in Awka (Temp site), it's almost impossible to make calls atimes let alone talk about data connections.

In fact, glo should just try to look into our condition here in IKIRE, Osun state, I hardly get 10 kb/s here, it is very frustrating and annoying. Those people should try as much as possible do something about it.
