Hello, is it compulsory to notarize my documents. I went to high Court at ikoyi, was asked to pay 1k per page and I don't have that kind of money.. What's the implication if I don't notarize it.. And is it possible to submit original documents. Like my birth certificate and the rest. Will I get them back?

It's not compulsory u notorize ur documents, it's only good u do, originals are no more accepted except for bank statement and admission letter, as any document submitted won't be returned aside ur passport.

Don't submit original documents. If it's 10documents u want to notorize, beg d notary public lawyer with whatever you have. Some of them are considerate. During my time here in Plateau they even said a copy is 5k and I want to notorize 10copies that supposed to be 50k. I begged the man wt 8k and he collected.

Not compulsory but it's good u do that. What it means is that u're telling whoever is going through ur document that what u're submitting is genuine

youre wrong, you sponsors land and property documents has a role in proving that he is capable of sponsoring you.....
click on the help button beside the proof of financial support to understand better.....and if he is your father it is a kind of tie too....
justwise:

Absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about, many have asked that question in the past and I keep wondering why people need such information outside their own company.

..one more thing though..don't spend much of your time gathering some self-serving documents that will not help your application one bit..e.g your sponsor's land or car documents, they will not serve as your tie to Nigeria or use as proof of income.

Many stuff you see people listing here are all junk.
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 9 by hayqinsbFX: 7:15pm On Feb 12, 2016
thats still expensive sef.....enter ikeja and youll see people begging you to pay 2h if u have enough docs to notarize....

What these embassy people want to see is raw, fluid cash in your sponsor's account. I have a friend that submitted all his father's land and property documents with little money in his account and he was denied.

I did not submit any of my parent's property documents in my application. I also have land documents in my name and I did not submit them because it makes no point to me.

Will my father sell the roof over his head to pay my school fees? angry

why will u submit land document with smal money...

this is how it works....

if you're going for more than a year program and you have shown good funds in ur SOA......
the land and property can show that 1) your sponsor is well established here 2) theres a feeling that subsequent school fees wont be a problem...

the koko is the SOA and cash and i never said your land can replace that...

Check Windsor

Oh...Windsor requires GMAT for MBA, its their Msc Management that doesn't.

There should be other unis that offer MBA with no GMAT, but they'll be expensive.

You just cropped that and uploaded but failed to understand it.

if you personally own those assets or business then you can include those documents because they act as your tie to Nigeria but NOT when it belongs to somebody else. Your father or uncle's assets/business can not act as your tie to Nigeria neither will they sell those assets just to keep you in Canada.

List of documents you submit when you are sponsoring yourself are NOT the same as when somebody else is sponsoring you.

The first line of that list made that clear but you missed it.
