If Ihenacho teammates did not celebrate with him, is not something u guys should take serious. Cus he's not play for them but himself. No one can take that gift from him. So you guys should 4get this matter.

I think city players were more of restarting the match quickly than running after him & rejoicing . They need a win. And kelechi should have seen d sign when scored started running and looked back. He has is own ego issue. Most times he would run to d corner flag, kneel down with two hands to d sky saying something rather than picking d ball, rejoice with the person that made d assist and get back to his half of d field.

I missed the game. I just watched it on YouTube and realized what you say is true. why this happened we don't know, but it was not supportive from his team mates. I sense reproach. it is well with Kelechi. they cant stop his shine. Am glad they lost the game anyways.

Perhaps u re right, maybe they ain't being racist, maybe they re just being envious of him, and covetous of his success
LastMumu:
Why is everything racism to you guys? Any small thing 'Racism' 'Racism' like say na the only thing wey una brain fit process be that. There are blacks in that Mancity team, why didn't they also celebrate with him? Oh I guess, they are racist too.

The team clearly lacks motivation and bond we have always seen it have.

Give me a good reason why nacho was not celebrated by his team mates? Just one reason! Am all ears

Simple, they wanted to get on with the game. Those guys do not have a problem with him. The players like Kompany hail Nacho. Nacho said Clichy is his biggest fan.

They wanted to get on with the game.

Iheanacho was happy to equalize, his team mates were rushing back to the line to push on. there was nothing to celebrate yet.

Man city badly needed a win, there was no time for that celebration, after losing against Leicester. Iheanacho was supposed to pick the ball up and put it in the center of the field so play can resume at once.

it was mentioned yesterday that Ihenacho ran towards the wrong corner. I didn't quite get the explanation so don't quote me on this but it was explained on the pundit show last night something about teams having a place where they usually celebrate for tactical reasons so as not to give the opponents an advantage in case of a quick restart and Ihenacho running to the wrong corner to celebrate or something like that.

So no it's not Buhari to blame

This makes some sense. It's close to my thought on the issue.

Iheanacho ran too far from his team mates and wanted those 'old' to chase after him. When you come into a team as a kid, you celebrate your goal by going to the established players who set up to goal. Two seasons ago when Iheanacho scored his first goal in a preseason, he ran away from the big boys while signally to them to run after him.

In some other teams, such wouldn't mean. Man United big boys run after Martial and Lingard to celebrate with them. But Aguero, Kompany, would be thinking "who is this kid claiming hero, where was he when we made Man City..."

Look at it from this angle! They might not ve expected Nacho to hit it sooooooooooooo well all of a sudden, and this can make any big man jealous of a supposedly small man!

These players work with Nacho in training everyday. They know how good he is. They said they have a good talent in their hands. There is no stress, jealousy or envy. These are Super Stars that have fame, money and titles. Nacho is just starting.

i love the lad but it's quite straight forward actually - he ran into the corner to spend an eternity thanking god pointing at the sky as usual (!) (even when his teamates hug him have you not noticed he still ignores them and points at the sky forever..?! his choice but..) but Sergio looked livid and shouted at him to get back, as did Vinnie, it was no conspiracy, just that every other player desperate for the win had run back to the centre circle with the ball desperate to kick off, not to waste time celebrating.

Or at least that's how it looked sat right in front of him near the front at that end in the stadium wink

Which success. One thing I know is that Nacho has big dreams. He knows he has not achieved anything and he is training hard to achieve it. Nacho has no success for players in City to envy him. Aguero had more name than Nacho as a teenager. Barcelona fought hard to sign Aguero. Aguero won the Europa League before joining City.

No one is envious of him. Is it Yaya who has multiple titles including the Nations Cup and Champions League? These guys are like his big Brothers and they want him to succeed.

Ihianacho needs 2 b encouraged and shown luv by his senior colleague especially @ this stage of his career, that gesture shows there is problem in mancity dressing room probably because one of them'the big boys'was dropped for the boy in their champ league squad.its a shame on them especialy yaya toure
nobody should defend them, even igwe, the arsenal living legend, who had scored alot of goals during his soccer career, who knows what it means to celebrate a goal wit team mate pionted it out. Thank God they lost d game

what is wrong is wrong irrespective of who is involved.

Man city players ignoring iheanachor's goal was very obvious, everyone observed it. I know the team isn't happy but yet ignoring the young boy is bad cos I'm sure those guys would av appreciated Aguero.

even the manager was glad and celebrated
he shouldn't have gone to that extent when your team needs winning . Haven't you seen a player scoring a goal and the player will Carry the ball immediately without celebrating. Or just a simple celebration. He needs to know when to celebrate

now I see were u re not exactly correct! In d world of football, big stars care about playing time! They want to retain their playing time, their big name and their prestige and as such there is alws competition! Envy and jealousy is evoked when a seemingly unknown youngstar from no where comes and steals the stage!Nacho is not an overrated youngstar! He has the potentials to explode and as such he is simply demonstrating every week that he deserves to be in d starting 11! Ronaldo and Bale re team mates, but there is competition! Sooo many oda examples I can't jus keep mentioning for lack time!

Kelechi came from d bench, ignored d coach's instruction and went on to score.
Aguero and other players be like, do u tink we couldn't really convert d chances we've been having

because it was just an equalizer in a most win game. The lost to Leicester last week and can't afford to draw or lose to Tot.

An Aguero scoring that goal will probably not celebrate the goal, he would have carried the ball back for Tots to restart the match.

They didn't celebrate with him because they were rushing back to the half way line for the match to continue and push for more goals.

Lie! Lie! Lie! Bloody lie!! Racism is in play!

But a pat on the back by the captain and a hug from a couple of his teammates could have been a tonic for the 19 year old to even add another goal.I am of the opinion his teammates should apologize to him.

From the goal post he ran towards the corner flag and nobody followed. He jumped up high and came down, nobody. He knelt down and pointed both hands to the sky and nobody. He then closed his eyes and had a short prayer and till he finished, nobody. He then stood up to meet them.
I had to watch the replay from many angles and still didn't see any running towards him.
I thought I was d only one that noticed it. And the goal came at a time they were desperately searching for an equalizer

The players did not have any time to waste as they wanted to immediately continue the play and seek a win. Iheanacho was wasting too much time on celebration.
