@ceejay80 well i didn't notice any difference, there was a capacitor in ma ups dat reads 28v when i start it up... i uses 12v. setup though. i was afraid it could destroy the fan...i found a cap dat reads exact battery volt, so i connect the fan through it........ it spins v. fast. it draws 280mah on my meter.
Is ur ups bluegate 650? If yes, unplug the ups from electricity connect only ur battery to the ups ,if the fan spins without u switching on the ups power button, then u know its not ok, cos ur fan will run morning till night, but if u connect only to battery and u switch on , the fan spins and when u switch off the fan stops then its ok

ceejay, pls help me with the connection of the fan. My own single battery 650v bluegate ups has the biggest capacitor labelled 35v and the smallest capacitor reads 25v and not 12v like suggested. How do I go about it?
Is ur ups bluegate 650 ?

Below is ur answer

temizeee:
capacitors are always rated higher than the voltage passing through them.... d max volt around d 35v might be 20sumfin volt.... so no worries. what you want to make sure is to find a capacitor that will start d fan only when you press d start button on the ups..... if u connect it to any cap, d fan will b running 24/7 so far d ups terminals are connected to the battery.

yes. exactly...d fan start wen i switch on d ups only....i used to run d ups with external fan before(small usb fan) which makes it bulky.......with diz fan,its very compact now....... tnx 4 d idea once again.

the solar panel is performing wonderfully. but it took two days to fully charge the 100amps battery with a 70watts polycrytall. i was at alaba today to get a monocrystal panel 100 watts. 50 watts is now 11k. but i was lucky to get 100watt mono for 14k.dat price is not possible again. i bought some led light that i will connect directly with a step down to the 100amps battery.pics shortly

that means if i can get 100 watts panel it shld be able to charge a 40ah battery in a day. Also, between the mono and poly panel which is better?
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by spyglaxx: 4:47am On Feb 14, 2016
yea 100 watt is enough. The mono is latest technology. It peaks at 19.45volts while poly is old technology and peaks @ 16.4volts. and you would need a charge controller. are you in lagos?
Re: How To Create A Locally Made Inverter With Ease by spyglaxx: 5:01am On Feb 14, 2016
the led light.connected directly.

The cost of solar charge controller depends on type, PWM type are usually cheaper. See a link of one being sold at konga http://www. konga.com/solar-charge-controller-12-24v-20a-1806313

I think 200W should be sufficient enough. It depends on your pocket. You can also buy 100W just that it will take longer to charge your battery.

I hope this helps

Please ceejay80s, I need your help. After seeing my setup, a friend demanded for the cost of a 4.0kva/48v inverter with 4 batteries to power 4tv, 4 fans, 1 desktop computer, 1cd/dvd/decoder ,15 energy saving bulbs, and a freezer shocked.
I believe I we can do this. Please help me with the needed tools and price. I don't mind contacting you if I may have your digits.

He might need a 2v 1000ah battery x 6 = 12v 6000ah
Below are pic of 2v 1000ah batteries
U go just get light forever
But....I will find out the price of 4kva 24v inverted for u,
And if he is serious about it, then he should go for these 2v 1000ah batteries, the only thing is that he will need to buy 6 batteries to make it 12 volts, and this one doesn't need ups, there's a special inverter for it
Anybody wey do this setup go make my 160ah battery set up be like finger battery
2v 1000ah x 6 = 12v 6000ah

@ceejay, what he needs is a 48v system & not 12v, i.e 2v batteries × 24 PCs or 12v batteries × 4pcs

I know, I just gave him other option, still making inquiry on his 48v inverter
2v x 24pcs will be way too much for him, one of this 2v 1000ah battery no be moi moi,
But if he has that in his house , when fully charged, the battery can go for 2weeks or more

Hello Ceejay80 et al, I think doing 1000ah batteries Is an overkill, they can get the regular 200ah 12v batteries x 4pcs will give the required voltage, but from the load mentioned a 2.5KVA - 3.5KVA 24v inverter can do the job and save him some serious cash.

Those 48v systems ain't cheap. My 2pence...

The rate at which the price of this 20amps charger @ chidisam store at labinjo is getting costly almost every week is alarming. I bought 1 on 6th of February @ 8k,to my surprise d guy said it is 9k last today, I have no other options than to buy it. Am thinking of looking for d products elsewhere after today.

To those that want to use their mini inverter with ceiling fan this link may be useful. What is the effect of the speed regulator of a fan on power consumption? https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-effect-of-the-speed-regulator-of-a-fan-on-power-consumption. I now use my ceiling fan at low speed with the inverter since am sure it consume less watts at low speed mind u my ceiling fan is ORL 62" at d lowest speed its still blow cool breeze.
