loopman:who is shinning teeth with you. Nigerians move to lagos just like they move to Abuja which are fg projects... Nobody is migrating to cash strapped SW states that are begging for bailouts |
| Re: SE Governors Must Reject The Ministry of Power,Wks and Housing Budget Allocation by loopman: 2:36pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
AtlanticBreeze:So is Lagos not in the SW region? So why are you crying that the SW is getting a larger share of the Work's ministry budget? Why are you doing approbation and re-probation at the same time? You should stop crying about the budget allocation to Shagamu-Benin, Apapa-Oshodi, Lagos-Ibadan and Airport Roads then. You claimed Lagos is not SW but at the same time crying that SW is having a large portion of the budget. Confused people ![]() |

loopman:lagos and abuja belong to all Nigerians......simple qtns......what does SW produce, what does NOrth produce and what does SE produce...its obvious that SS lay the egg we all share....apart from the little crude in imo, abia, ondo and even edo,the rest are parasites...those with larger poor population are more parasite than others........ |
| Re: SE Governors Must Reject The Ministry of Power,Wks and Housing Budget Allocation by loopman: 3:26pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
rummmy:So why are you people now crying that SW is taking a huge chunk of the budget to rehabilitate roads in Lagos if you agreed that Lagos and Abuja belongs to all Nigerians? Going by your analogy, the SW is short-changed because the real infrastructure that benefit the SW are not in the budget. |

SLIDEwaxie:but its oil producing states that are collecting 13% not all se stated, that allocation to se is too small, and looking at the roads that will be done in sw all leads or are in lagos. |
| Re: SE Governors Must Reject The Ministry of Power,Wks and Housing Budget Allocation by omonnakoda: 4:15pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
SW ko SW ni. Who is fooling who? Where re the roads to Ado Ekiti? Where are the roads to Akure to Ogbomosho to Osogbo to Ondo? They are building roads to enable their use of the ports which is to their benefit not the SW |

obailala:. The fact that you can type a few igbo words does not make you igbo, google is always there to help. We know your likes, the hypocritical tribe. Can you post any link that says they were given more than 2.9 billion or you think if it had been a mistake nobodyy would have called the attention of the mgt. Of dailytrust to that. If 88billion can be budgeted for SW roads that needs just maintainace, then 17billion+ 2.9billion should be budgeted for SE that needs new bridge plus having the worst (untarred)federal roads in the six geopolitical zone. You guys are proving your 5% policy, to which we say CONTINUE. |

frleopardo:You are inconsequential in the scheme of things and your opinion about my origins is as useless as the last 's' in the word 'useless,' I would advise you to stick that worthless opinion up your a*s. Regarding the topic, it is a free world, so you are absolutely free to reason in whatever way you choose to reason. You can as well go and join ipob in their protests at Aba since that is obviously where you are driving at. |

AtlanticBreeze:Lagos Location of the main port into the country since 1896 . Without Lagos Port goods cannot enter the country efficiently. The GDP of Lagos state is more that the combined GDP of the NEXT SIX (6) states combined Rivers +Delta+Oyo+Imo+Kano+Edo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nigerian_states_by_GDP I want you to bear in mind that GDP includes oil/ Lagos is about 20% of the Nigerian Economy Do not ask such a daft question again |

obailala:yes my opinion is inconsequential so also is yours. I just wanted to straighten you up that by claiming to be igbo you don't fool anybody... except....perharps yourself. Regarding the topic, you believe everybody is free to reason how they choose, so why masquerading as an igbo brother while you dish out your amala & ewedu lies just to make us feel that all is well. Besides did you notice how you manage to dodge the question of posting the link. Typical of you guys... |

omonnakoda:and Lagos port is the only port in Nigeria.. Why the deliberate sabotaging of other ports to boost lagos port just like the airport |
| Re: SE Governors Must Reject The Ministry of Power,Wks and Housing Budget Allocation by omonnakoda: 8:46pm On Feb 17, 2016*. Modified: 11:11pm On Feb 17, 2016 |
AtlanticBreeze:Deliberate sabotaging? That is sentiment The reality is that the coast line of Nigeria is peculiar. Nigeria has coast line with the Atlantic in Lagos,Ogun Ondo,RIvers Bayelsa ,Cross River and Akwa Ibom. Unfortunately Lagos offers the cheapest access from the sea and from the land. Sweet coastlines just line Lome and Cotonou which by the way are at the same latitude. As we move further toward the Bight of Biafra you have Mangrove and Creeks and swamp conditions making it difficult for ships to berth and also more vulnerable to piracy . On the land side There is a huge challenge moving containers across creeks .Quite a long time ago the British chose to settle in Lagoa and abandoned Calabar. This was not without reason. The reality is shipping Goods to any where else outside Lagos will require huge investment not only in Ports but other infrastructure to evacuate goods from the Ports . That does not mean it should not be done but goods will cost more to ship e.g to Ondo or Bayelsa and wwhen shippers have a choice they will choose to save money . Those who will choose such ports may be Large companies. Nigeria has not had that kind of money for a long time and so the issue of sabotage is just sentiment. It is the same reason that we do not have electricity that we have not developed ports. Funny enough much of what we have on Ground was developed by the British and the military. We had Windfalls in 1991 the government chose to build Abuja. Goodluck Jonathan an Ijaw man had the largest windfall in our history .What did he do with the money? Why did he not devlop a port? Why did Ibori not develop a port or Odili or Amaechi or Akpabio who had unprecedented sums of money.Akpabio went to build a stadium with several hundred million dollars. Nobodyy is sabotaging ports any more than no one sabotaged electricity and all the roads in Nigeria. It is the same thing. Soon another port will come on stream in Lagos as a PPP initiative the government is providing land as equity and investors are providing the cash. Why are investors not going to Bayelsa or Akwa Ibom? The militancy situation does not help but even without that the terrain is not great. |
