I read comments of people on this NL everytime. Ive been a silent member for a long period of time tho but when i see people make comments that are so senseless and insane i begin to wonder how much ignorance and deceit some people have been fed with for so long a time. Onyeka Onwenu jst gave a life testimony, are NLs not aware of the fact that what this woman says is truly what is happening in Nigeria federal ministries, agencies and parastatals?? Nls who dont know that Northeners in this country are d ones who have controlled all key positions in this country for many years should go and ask their prents and grndparents questions. Enlightened parents tho.! The northeners are solely responsible for the woes and downfall of this country. The northerners are solely responsible for the bokoharam retribution and scourge being unleashed upon them. #NoPity The northeners since inception of this Mirage we call Nigeria have always though and fought that ruling is their birth right as they call themselves #Caliphate #BornToRule the question is "born to rule where''? The north or Nigeria as a whole integration? Asides tribal sentiments and biase, Onyeka Onwenu is a matured woman who has been and seen how Nigeria has fared for a long time. Hausa Northerners killed nigeria. They are still killing Nigeria. They are more in the army, government, ministries, police, agencies, parastatals. They get the biggest FG contracts, appointments etc. So if you dont know this or aint aware of this, i advise u STFU! This country is nothing but a dream. A mirage! A hollywood movie directed by Britain that will end 1 day. 8 Likes 1 Share |

popcykaylah: Exactly my issues with her statement, looks like some peeps from the south east just talk as if PMB or northerners will always be President forever, sometimes we forgot that its only God that can determine who will be in power if not Abacha should still be ruling us by now. 1 Like |

henchamb: henchamb:so because she vigorously campaigned against the president during elections era hence her sack letter. hmm,one of the reasons the zoo wants to revenge on her, notwithstanding, Some of her colleagues may also harboured this statement in their minds. African mentality seems to be the worst mentality to mankind including her unborn generation. Instead of moving on with her roles in NCWD to build the system and let the bright and intellectuals run the system to another level, so that this cesspit called nigeria can grow up to know the importance of women in the societies. they refused and wants to slowed down her progress and vision for this nation. I weep for nigerians. 1 Like |

thunder74: But in case you don't know, in the Nigeria civil service, the Ibos are more in number than any other tribe, so if you speak of mediocrity, tribalism and/or nepotism, you can not attribute it to a section of the country. Its unfortunate that people like you would not remove the logs in your own eyes but would attempt to remove a speck from another person's eye. 1 Like |

It's either the people that commented on this earlier did not read the writeup or they have comprehension problem. I had the read the writeup for a second time to make sure I did not skip where she said she was sacked because she was Igbo but I didn't see that. Make una drop una hatred sometimes and treat issues that are being raised in this country for the betterment of Nigeria. That is all I have to say. 1 Like |

laidian: I don't know if you read the article but if you did I'm sure you'd see that she didn't complain about being fired, from her words its actually freeing her up to go into her private endeavors. What she has a problem with though is the saboteurs with the ministry and parastatals which no one can deny.Or what else will you call destroying 3 GENS owned by the parastatal few hours to an oversight visit.I'm a Nigerian,I have friends from all around the country who like me don't care about tribe or regions but live like sensible and responsible human beings. But the idea of northerners feeling entitled in Nigeria has got to stop.We are all stake holders in this venture and should act as such.Nigeria belongs to everybody |

Man will never have lasting peace. He was not designed to rule himself. Each passing day we provide proof of the fact that man is the source of his failure. |

its clear that our generation needs to see and act beyond this attack him attack her mentality. she mentioned salient points that pervade our civil service that need to be addressed 1. workers poor attitudes as backed by superiors 2. tribal sentiments disrupting the functioning of the civil service 3. senior civil servants not acting civil at all to one another 4. synergy not antagonism is required in and between ministries and parastatals indeed where there is no vision, the people perish. if our generation will bring change, please lets look deeper and each one to his own 2 Likes |

kraftykc:Madam'a actions to me, is simply 'medicine after death'. I believed she should have raised the issue of 'fatwa', against her immediately the incidence occurred or probably, drag the actors to court for a threat on her life. She would have received more sympathy and support from Nigerians if she has taken this step. Her image would have soared higher if she had resigned her appointment, when a subordinate in her department, was sent abroad, without her knowledge. That singular action would have gone a long way in addressing many of the injustices in the Federal civil service, and probably, some other unresolved issues in the country. 2 Likes |

Caseless: Throughout my stay in the east, I never saw even one street named after a non-igbo. The local government would rather leave the new street nameless and wait for an Igbo to buy land and apply. Even in their Federal Universities, non-igbos should forget about aspiring to higher positions cos the auhorities run the schools like State Institutions. In their state civil service, non-igbos are virtually nonexistent. It is so bad that muslim igbos are victimized. Even Anglicans and Catholics have laughable discrimination issues. I have not even mentioned their politics. What non-indegenes often thrive upon is Entrepreneurship. If you want to see real tribalism, go to the east. The reason they are quick to scream victimization is because they are so quick to victimize and marginalize other tribes. They think everyone is as clannish as they are. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

cheruv: Igbos are fond of this and are the major culprit of this act. I was laid-off in a First-Generation BANK in February 2015 because of my stance of being a Buhari supporter by the Igbo-majority in the branch I worked here in Lagos (Yoruba Land!). I took it in good stride and moved on without making much hassles. So you and your people should stop ranting and face the reality of democracy. Winner takes it ALL... 2 Likes 1 Share |
