Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has sacked Ndubuisi Nwankwo, an engineer, as a Member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru UniveOE) for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to All Progressives Congress, APC.

Nwankwo was a Member of the Governorship Inauguration Committee setup to usher in the administration of Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike anchored on ‘New Rivers Vision’.

He was later appointed a member of the Governing Council of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.

Wike felt betrayed by Ndubuisi Nwankwo for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to the All Progressive Congress(APC) thinking that the Supreme Court will nullify the April 11 governorship election in Rivers State as the election tribunal and appeal court had earlier sacked Wike.

However, Wike’s mandate was affirmed by the Supreme Court which has led to the sacking of Nwankwo.

He was appointed by Wike, he has been sacked by Wike. So no big deal. He forgot who put him in that position, even bubu would have done the same and follow it up with EFCC placing outrageous allegation on his head.
