https://www.nigeriamovienetwork.com/uploads/articles/6313c6ee.jpg ASABA, Nigeria — Sitting on a blue plastic stool in the sweltering heat, Ugezu J. Ugezu, one of Nigeria’s top filmmakers, was furiously rewriting his script as the cameras prepared to roll. “Cut!” he shouted after wrapping up a key scene, a confrontation between the two leading characters. Then, under his breath, he added, “Good as it gets.”http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/02/19/world/africa/with-a-boom-before-the-cameras-nigeria-redefines-african-life.html https://www.playgroundtv.net/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/Nollywood-Stars-President-Jonathan-Villa-Actors-Guild-Of-Nigeria-february-2014-rhodiesworld-46.jpg |

Nollywood is dying because we refuse to introduce professionalism into it. Its becoming stale with its boring storylines |

I'm coming. Let me read it **modified*** OK I don read am finish. A nice write up. But I've not watched any nollywood movie in a very long time. I hardly know the actors and actresses. I got to know Tonto dikeh on nairaland because she was always making front page back then. Them lack quality. After so many years they still can't perfect gun shots. You'll see fire coming out of the gun's mouth. And the person shot won't have gun shot wound. And the sound is always annoying. You'll be hearing tatatatata. Na wah ooooo. The only parts they are good at is witchcraft and touts. Also comedies as well. You'll see how someone is stabbed or beheaded in American movies and it'll look so freaking real. I'm wondering when nollywood will get there. Na make dem dey repeat stories with bad qualities dem sabi. |

Ecoterrorism:you really think so? There are still a few good ones out there. Anyway if Nollywood producers entered the Nairaland lit. Section, they would find quite a few intriguing stories that deserve to be made into movies (including mine ) but alas these producers prefer a wack a'ss script to quality content.People will watch whatever recycled crap they keep producing anyway, so why bother paying for quality content? |

Nollywood dishes out loads and loads of movies every now and then but only a few quality ones. This means its future is not sure. |
