This man needs to shut up. Fayose is almost as useless as jonathan, except that in his case he is an empty barrel making so much unnecessary noise!

For a man that proposed the lowest most unproductive budget in Nigeria's history, he needs to just shut up.

Not exactly sir.

GEJ government came up with the plan, but on critical expert analysis, they realised that it would immediately choke the banking sector and the economy to near death.
Therefore, they decided to keep on hold, while trying to figure a better way to harmonize FG accounts without choking the economy.

Then General clueless stepped in, impervious to economic common sense, pushed the TSA forward, completely oblivious of the immediate economic implications.
God bless you and your entire generation. If them never mention GEJ, their talk no go complete. Did any of the idiiots ever wonder why it was not implemented? Hahaha, Jona is not the most clueless after all. grin grin grin grin

When GEJ was ther all parties accepted to work. Can ekiti work without FG. A state without anything, only allocation. Fayose should stop all this talk and focus on building a mega state. We are tired of comments......WORK!WORK!WORK

TRASH!

I shudder to think that these are the people who claim to be leaders of the future. Smh

Choke the banks howhuh How can government lodge its funds in commercial banks then still go back to the same commercial banks to borrow the same funds with huge interest rates on it. Its broad daylight robbery. Something jonathan's regime was well known for!

stop twisting facts.. show us a post where they claimed to have put the TSA on hold because of its immediate implication on the economy..Please provide a link to ur claim
But did u read PMB statement said GEJ did not implement it. What could be the reason? Because it won't work. Imagine huge revenue coming from different sectors on daily basis into a single account. How do u check d details to d root. Whatever revenue a sector claimed it generated would b taken. I giv more explanation on dis.

From an economic point of view, there are no benefit at all.
But From a propaganda point of view, the benefits are msny.
Firstly, you can always thump your chest that you saved such and such, which on critical analysis, is a lie.

First, taking out 2trillion naira from the banking sector in one swoop is economic stupidity. Banks , and by extension, the economy needs that float both as a reserve cushion as well as a steady lubricant for the creation and expansion of credit, the engine for economic activities and growth.

By taking such monies from banks, where they earned interests for the government, and fees for the banks, the clueless government did the equivalent of turning of the switch in a very busy factory.

In this computer age, harmonizing and monitoring disparate accounts is something that a even an amateur computer science student like kingebukasblog can easily write an algorithm for.

It's not rocket science.
Hey ... come on , I'm not an amateur angry . But let's just watch and see ... you maybe right or wrong

Apparently, you don't know much about economics.

Apple computer, for example, has a cash horde of about $300b. But Apple still borrows money from banks , and even offers long and medium term bonds to finance it's daily operations.
If you don't understand how and why, then that makes you an economic semi-literate. No insult intended.

Don't argue against things you don't fully understand.

How long will it take this man to know that Nigerians cannot easily be sweet tongued into accepting trash anymore?
That the value of Naira is going down does not make the TSA a non issue. That PMB has blocked so many loopholes through which people siphoned monies does not make him clueless.
At times I feel there is something Fayose is so scared f judging from Metu's constant criticisms before the bubble bursted.
Fayose should concentrate on governing the people that voted him into power and leave PMB alone.

SAYING MY MIND. the guy is just trying to cook up stories to defend GEJ.
at times when one reads comments by our youths and supposed graduates, one begins to wonder if actually the elders are d one preventing the youths from taking the mantle of leadership our the youths themselves. one of my lecturer back at nekede the, Mr. Nwachukwu will always advice that as a graduate, you don't assume things or say something you have no basic fact about because you may just be called to defend what u just said.

No I know many people comment on issues they're clueless about.

Where were the monies withdrawn to? Buhari's house or his pockets?

What do you even understand by TSA?

Let me educate

Actually u are the one completely and utterly ignorant. You cant compare the federal government to a private company. Why? A little thing called the constitution that says ALL monies accruing to the federal govt be paid to federation account (which is domiciled in CBN not in commercial banks)! So all such payments to commercial banks are technically ILLEGAL!

Thats on the one hand. Further, the CBN is the Government's Bank and not commercial bank. If Apple's goes bankrupt people only lose the value of what they invested in the company, and infact the govt can in some cases intervene with a bailout (like what they did for chrysler). But guess what happens when Govt itself goes bankrupt? Its better imagined!

So dont compare private company to federal Government. These are two completely different issues!

My friend, next time, take a deep breath, then apply common sense before you go on your knee jerk reaction.

The funds were taken from commercial banks and placed in a single account with the CBN, where the money, the N2tr sits idly, earning Zero interests, and doing Zero for the biggest economy in Africa.

The is the greatest economic folly.
