Pics of the stool he stood on or else i'l believe its a murder...a suicide couldnt have been so clean i mean the hood and all there shoulda been one rough detali not well taken care of by the suicidal fellow...its too neat to be a suicide...and to wear bright yellow? (thats a cult colour cos i have a friend who was harassed by cultists for wearing that colour) That raises a question too...i think it was a cult execution 1 Like |

Topestbilly: Yea right... *like you can provide a solution to his problems *like you could provide for his family *like you could live a day/week in his shoes *like you could see life through his eyes *like he doesn't dream of a better life *like he doesn't have big enough problems *like you even know wtf I'm talking bout Yea nigguh fúck you, all you insensitive sons of bítches. It ain't your fault, you just don't know what it's like to live on the other side of the tracks cos you so cosy & comfy in your warm blanky, you eat 3-5 healthy meals at a beckon call, probably work at a job you don't really deserve cos you ain't qualified & just know someone there. Nothing personal bro, just a general notice to everyone on here who thinks suicide is cowardice, shameful, weak or whatever terms y'all use cos y'all stupid af ![]() 1 Like 1 Share |

Oneafter: Comments like this makes me wonder what is wrong with us all? How are we comfortable spewing such things without remorse or caution. It's not nice at all, we are all Nigerians. Let's stop with the " TeamYoruba, TeamIgbo, whose insult would hurt the most" way which has become the stock in trade of most nairalanders. |

Topestbilly: Dude no vex o, I'm not throwing stones at nobody, just telling it like it is. Truth is most people aren't happy with life in general, it's hard to stay positive & keep the "dream" alive. I'm at the end of my rope with no sight of hope. Do you think I haven't prayed to the God? Have I found a solution yet? Don't I feel like killing myself too? Am I crazy, weak, cowardly for feeling depressed & wanting to end my life cos I can't seem to see "a way out?" No be patoranking na shatta wale. Stop am joor ![]() |

MAYOWAAK:Thank you. People are quick to judge people. Depression is an illness but Nigerians only know malaria and Aids. I see so many ignorant people ranting, thinking it is hardship. It may be, it equally won't be. The rich and affluent equally commit suicide. |

It's not about condemning his action. because if we spend the whole day condemning him, we still have not achieved any solution when more people are committing suicide everyday. What must had triggered his action and his motive. Maybe by treating these issues carefully will help to prevent or reduce to its barest minimum future occurrence. Have we considered the psychological factors that could be responsible for his action. Untreated chronic depression, post traumatic stress, lost of beloved one(s), anxiety, self-guilt/hatred, economic crises, marriage crises, indebtedness, among other sociopsychological factors. Any of these could be responsible for his action. Proper investigation is needed to unravel the cause of his action and not by throwing punches at the dead man. |

Sail easy bro.. This man is dead, don't judge him. At least he chose the way he died, many of us would meet death as a surprise. People call him a coward, if only they knew the amount of its it takes to kill ones self. Some have cast judgement on the man, but if that man had approached you and begged you for assistance, many of you would have turned him down or even walked far away from him. If he was not mentally deranged, then frustration is what drove him to this point. I give as much as I can not because I am rich, but because I know what it feels like not to have. Leaving that 10 Naira change for that hawker that sells wares for a miserly 500 Naira daily profit is a big deal in his life and nothing to you. We as a society need to learn to care for the man standing next to you. I feel guilty in a way for this mans death. Maybe, we could have done more as a society to help this man. Rest easy my brother... Death surely comes to us all in the end. 2 Likes 1 Share |

MAYOWAAK: You know psychiatric care in 9ja is very rudimentary. People affected live in denial. Family members don't want to have "craze person" in their family. Others are labelled as being weak. Problem is, there are very many socio-economic challenges in 9ja, millions of people not sure if the can even afford lunch or dinner today, poverty, illness, marital discord, kids at home for lack of school fees, joblessness, abysmal working conditions and so on. The whole cocktail is a perfect recipe for mental health issues. I think some states in 9ja barely have a single well-equipped psychiatric hospital. We are sleepwalking into a major mental health crisis. Pathetic. |

Another side to the story, it might be a staged suicide, knowing that detectives here in Nigeria won't investigate that much. suicide rate in Nigeria is low.. (just some fantasy) |
