Good day guys. I have suddenly started to feel bored with my honda bullet 1998 accord. I have decided to pim.p it and am seriously considering changing the rims to alloy. I also intemd to fix wider rims and tire. Please i need sound advice as to the effect of these modifications on ball joint. Knowing fully well that honda is very notorious for ball joint failure. Thanks.. Gazzuzz , luvinhubby |

Guitarlife:If you are sure its R14 then 205 65 R15 is your best upgrade or 205 60 R16. Anything bigger, you will not enjoy the car. |

Siena:That's exactly what the manual states. Accord from 98 - 2002 has 205 65 R15 for EX trim and for LX R14. 2003 - 2005 has 205 65 R15 for LX and 205 60 R16 for EX and 6 - 2007 has 205 60 R16 for LX/EX and 205 55 R17 for EXV6 while 2008 -12 have 215 55 R16 for LX and 215 50 R17 for EX My friend uses 215 55 R17 which is a little big higher on the profile than the specs. He lost 2 tires consecutively to potholes for reasons I don't know. He hits a pot hole and the whole car feels the hit while my 03 accord LX with spec tires of 205 65 R15 handles pothole with so much comfort. |
