Is this Development? Chai Nigerian Governors. This is not supppose to be a public News. Tax payer's Monies. That is not Udom's personal money. He should fix roads in Eket. Which is government responsiblity and stop all this ceremonies, the ceremony is too much in Akwa Ibom state. Udom should Establish at least one industry and start production. N200k to widow is nothing to govt because i have given more than that to so many people without ceremonies.

When i first read your post, i wanted to insult you but realized that is not the best approach. You don't know so you need to be educated.

1. Where is the money coming from?

2. If it is state funds, was it budgeted for?

3. Is it his personal funds?

4. If it is how can he afford it?

Nigerians are too emotional and do not ask tough questions. The economic realities have clouded the way they think. Governors shouldn't go about donating money like this. If he has to, he can set up an NGO, and source for funds from the private sector to take care of widows. There are so many things wrong with this. Remember Dasuki was going about donating to everything and everyone. At the time, people like you were saying "i wish more people would do this". What is the reality now? You all need to wake up and start smelling the coffee.

Is it their personal money or state money? It it is state, then it should read 'Akwa Ibom state donate .....' a good gesture, but they should not take personal credit. It will be wrong and unethical of them.
If it is their personal 'hard earned' legitimate money, then EFCC should investigate as done in dev. Countries. People generally do not do that for legitimate money labored for. This is how embezzlement and corruption begins. Is it Xmas and are they santa claus?
