Has she done a test to confirm its malaria? Most mamas here can't suggest medications to take during pregnancy when you've not done a test to confirm. Pls let her do it. Because feeling warm can also be part of the early preggo symptoms

Thanks for the response, she has headache more often plus the very warm temperature made me conclude it could be malaria, would take her to the clinic for test. A nurse friend suggested cloroquine for the malaria, she said its the only malaria drugs recommended for early pregnancy. I didn't buy it though, thanks again.

Fever at night or warm temperature at night during early pregnancy is not necessarily a sign of malaria. Some women have it through out their first trimester....I had it too. To confirm if it's malaria, go to a hospital and a test will be carried out...

Thank God you didn't. I also had what i thought was malaria in my 4th week, until i found out it wasn't. Well done for caring to ask mamas here in her behalf

BS my EDD was 9th february and i was so excited because it was my daughter's birthday.but d day ended and my baby was still enjoying herself inside the belly.i was so impatient that i consumed enough pineapple,trekked,overworked myself,forced myself to kpekus despite the fact that it irritated me,etc but baby still relaxed and all i got was false labour.and so i decided to stop stressing myself. On saturday the 20th,i went to the market,bought food items,cooked and did many chores i couldnt do in a while.i was feeling contractions but i ignored them because they werent painful.By 12:36am my water broke.i told DH and he asked me to get dressed while he informed his parents.i got dressed and my father inlaw drove us to the hospital.

Yes. I had pretty bad cramping yesterday. I had to run to the hospital after closer of work yesterday. After administering the necessary tests, and asking questions, the physician assistant told me it was round ligament pain. It is more pronounced from 12-20 weeks because I have entered my second trimester and the baby is growing more rapidly. The pain you're feeling is the ligaments holding your uterus stretching to accommodate the growth of the baby.... Especially if this is your first. Pele dear

It's most likely not malaria. From about 5weeks, I used to go to bed shivering like a jelly and wake up in the morning with high temperature. But she can do a malaria test to rule out malaria.

Ponders end is one of the best hospitals you can use for gynae and child birth issues in benin, it's owned by Dr Ojobo he's a renowned gynae in West Africa,and even consults for UBTH and he's there all by himself almost 247 and his bills are quite cheap too. I know lots of people that stay outside benin but just go there for his services on fertility issues

I ll be 9weeks on Friday, am not showing yet na only my breast deh big and it aches a lot, however my colleagues already knw coz of d way morning sickness dealt with me( spitting and my very white eyes)

You will show much faster during your second pregnancy than your first, I heard. I guess it's cos your body remembers how it is to be pregnant and things didn't really return to its original size after the first birth. Things have stretched. As per the hunger thing, please eat o. I never used to eat three square meals before. I was just not hungry enough. These days, I can't seem to get enough food in my mouth but I'm curbing it by eating healthy so I don't gain much weight. So please eat but eat healthy.

It is not malaria, it's part of the pregnancy Package. It is the release of pregnancy hormones that brings about the rise in temperature. In my first pregnancy, hubby ws soo worried that my temp ws abnormally high at night too... it's a phase and will pass away.

If I may ask, were ur twins in separate sacs of shared one sac? Also, did they share same placenta or had their diff placenta?

He is doing fine ma'am except the itching gum that is getting severe everyday. Infact my nipples is suffering and hurt so much now. His fingers is always in his mouth (very embarassing). If e get tired of his own,e wil put mine.If i remove it,na war.e would be scratching and be hearing the sound. I got him percifier bt e didnt like it. No stooling,no fever but He spit alot. I've started using pican for him 2 days ago. I pray i see improvement. He is 4 months today.

Please stop giving piccan. Teething doesn't need drugs. Besides, the teeth may not come out for another 4 months. You can't keep drugging him for that long. My kids start drooling and scratching by 3 months but the teeth comes as from 9 months. Get teething toys for him - colourful water or gel filled toys shaped like hand or fruits. Refrigerate and giv to him when it's cool, the cold will soothe his gums and d roughness will help him with the scratching.
