– EFCC picks up another of Diezani Alison- Madueke’s ally and cousin Donald Amamgbo – Amamgbo’s arrests comes in line with investigations into Alison-Madueke stewardship at the oil industry – The anti-graft agency gives reasons why Amamgbo was arrested Donald Chidi Amamgbo, a cousin to Diezani Alison-Madueke, a former minister of Petroleum has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Premium Times reports. Amamgbo, who is chief executive of Mezcor Oil and Gas limited, Tridax Oil and Gas Limited, Lynear Energy Limited and Bulk Strategic Reserved Limited, was arrested in Lagos state at about 4.20pm Today, February 25. According to a report on Premium Times, there are indications that Amamgbo might have acted as ally for Alison-Madueke, who granted him approval to lift Nigerian crude oil without any requisite experience. Donald Chidi Amamgbo, a cousin and ally to ex-minister Diezani Alison-Madueke, a former minister of Petroleum has been arrested by the EFCC “Through his companies, Amamgbo lifted crude oil and gas worth billions of dollars over a period of four years,” an official said. “A search conducted in the office and premises of Mezcor Oil and Gas Limited at No. 5 Sannar street, Wuse 2, Abuja yielded documents which included payments for the purchase of houses and vehicles.” Sources at the anti-graft agency said the investigation was continuing. However, when contacted, the spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, said: “I am told there is something like that but I don’t have the details.” Amamgbo’s arrest comes after Alison-Madueke’s husband was earlier arrested and released on February 18 as part of the investigations into her stewardship at the oil industry. Alison-Madueke herself was arrested on October 2, 2015 in London by the UK National Crimes Agency for alleged overseas corruption and money laundering. https://www.naij.com/744213-just-efcc-arrests-alison-maduekes-ally-cousin.html Cc: Lalasticlala |

Few weeks ago, in London, Buhari said he does not have any evidence to prosecute Dieziani Alison Mmaduekwe and now EFCC has arrested two people related to her. She was accused of stealing $6 billion dollars and yet she has not proven guilty. Is this antigraft war really holistic. Because as far as I'm concerned, no Nigerian political office holder, both past and incumbent, is a saint. |

nusta:Some Nigerians are just too empty upstairs! So because he made a statement weeks ago means they cannot uncover new information that could lead to arrest and interrogation? They stole Nigeria's patrimony blind, they robbed poor people of their future and lives, including you, they don't care if you died in an ill-equipped hospital or in the hands of BH equipped by GEJ and Madueke himself and yet you defend these people? I am sure I know what part of Nigeria you are from! The part where if your kins man stole money, you will worship and defend him while hawking gala in the intense heat and deathly traffic of Lagos! |

rhymaster:I pity you and your condition cus people like you are so myopic and can be easily brainwashed. Read and understand my comment before writing trash. If Dieziani has stolen, investigate, try and prosecute her. That should be the sane thing to do and not accusing and trying her on media. And for the sake of emphasis, and maybe if you are too lazy to read my previous comment again, as far as I'm concerned, no Nigeria political office holder, both past and incumbent, is a saint or is not corrupt or has not stolen. And for your information and you can quote me anywhere, anytime, if there will be a change of government by another party in 2019, this same Buhari government will be accused of massive looting and corruption. And if you foolishly choose to believe that Diezieani, Jonathan, Dasuki, Fayose are corrupt and Buhari, Tinubu, Amaechi, Fashola, Kwankwanso, Ngige, Rochas are not corrupt, that is your own problem. In my own opinion, they are all the same. It's just a case of kettle calling pot black. |

gross stúpidity and ineptitude everywhere sha. So according to this article, Amangbo was arrested for selling C/O without experience. Shameful reason for an arrest. The FG would have to prove that after each and every sale the boy made that their share of the money wasn't remitted to them. If this lack of experience is the only reason the EFCC had him arrested as they said then they have no case on him. They should rather look for proof that he engaged in illegal bunkering of crude oil |

Very lame reason for the arrest!!! What the hell do they mean he had no experience in oil lifting? This EFCC would only end up making a fool of themselves in court. That is the same way they arrested Uche Secondus foir receing campaign vehicles donated by a businessman. |

Before you could lift oil, there must be some levels of competence before you get approval. Even during job application, you must state your area of competence and proven records. Anyone who got the job from backdoor should be given summary dismissal when there is a new MD. For those supporting the yam eater, at least , borrow from the words of the common sense albino. |
