All my life as a Nigerian I have never seen or heard about any female that attained the rank of a general, be it major general or lieutenant general.

I'm aware that there are many women in the force but have never heard about any female general. Is there a Nigerian law against women reaching that rank or is the usual glass ceiling in play? Does anyone know any female general or even colonel?

Do you know what it means to be a General?

How many female Generals can you point to in the US army or in any army in the world?

Its not as if there is a glass ceiling. Nature so has it that no matter how hard a woman tries, there are certain things that are attainable simply because its not in a woman.

Answer this? Can a woman take decisions that would likely end in the destruction of lives including that of women and children? Being a General is not just an office. Its an office that takes guts, stone cold ironlike guts. Will a woman be able to take a decision to send her troops into battle with the ever present though that each battle could be their last and that their deaths would be as a result of her decision?

see when it comes to the milliatry , you should first take note of their type of recruitment :
1 REGULAR INTAKE
2 DSSC
4 SSC.
5 the Almighty cadet (RC)
the best way of gaining a generalship is to be recruited through the RC ( Regular combatants) which women were not allowed until 2010 when Godluck Jonathan was in power.
the first female RC graduated in NDA last year 2015 though the army latter stop the recruitment of females in NDA 2016 excluding Navy and air force .

Doctor of education why are you so insultve, she ask a question of what she don't know. Honestly I don't understand. But is education a guarantee for successful life?. Are the Ph.D. holders in Nigeria richer than Dangote and Abacha family.

It is a man's world. Certain jobs are just more suitable for men. We are in a patriarchal society, men dominate almost everything.

You were making sense until you dropped the last sentence. The nature of jobs defines who it fits the most. Eg, reception and babysitting jobs are best handled by ladies NOT men

is there anything like lieutenant general in Nigeria. What I know is: stating from Major, lieutenant colonel, colonel, brigadier general,Major general, general, field marshall(which we do not have in Nigeria).

There is actually a Lieutenant General in the NA. For instance, the present COAS is Lt Gen Burutai.

Whats with you? Are there no women officers in the army, airforce, navy etc? Do you think a woman general will make all the women in Nigeria fulfilled and happy.

Forcing women into roles not suitable for them isnt right.

There are female generals in the Army. Major General AO Amusu is the second woman in the history of the Nigerian Army to attain the rank of a Major General (two star General). She is a medical doctor and currently the Commandant of 44 Nigerian Army Reference Hospital Kaduna.
The first woman to attain the rank of a Major General in the Nigerian Army is Major General Aderonke Kale.

Pic 4: Brigadier General Cecilia Akagu (another female General in the Army. Behind her is her husband also a General)

Most people that attain general are regular soldiers, is only of recent females are allowed to join the NDA as regular cadet hitherto they only go for short service who hardly pass the rank of colonel and most females in the military are nurses, clerks etc they are hardly infantry

But in the future you will see many female generals with there enrolment into regular course courtesy of GEJ

Moronic fuuktard, which failed education system produced you?

A simple and quick input of "Female Nigerian General" on Google gave me: Major-General Ronke Kale.

You are so poorly educated, you can not conduct basic research before you vomit your moronic "fact" with so much certainty?

And you will wonder why you fail and are set to continue failing in life?

From this simple and quick search input, I also discovered:

The navy also has its own: Rear Admiral Itinu Hotonu

It was only in 2015 that the UK had its own first female Major General, Susan Ridge. This is 2 years after Nigeria.

Moronic products of a failed education system are too daft to conduct research before speaking.

manitobor there are colonels and brigadier general femalespost=43203749:
Absolutely true. Not even a female colonel.

During the military Era there was no single female military administrator/governor. Which shows there's no high ranking female in the army.
