Thank God. God is your strength. I understand perfectly because I've been there. Just do the ones you can do and do others later when your baby is sleeping. Then always find time to rest. My babies are fine o. Trying my best to cope.

@mumZ I try to bend using d the technique mum zaynie posted a while back..but I find myself bending most of the time to pick up stuffs as my lo is a confirmed area scatter..i just can't avoid it.then I back him everywhere we go cos he can't walk as fast yet.. house chores nko?
I try to take things easy..it is well my sis..may Almighty Allah make it easy for us..Amin

Does your baby's poo look like the image below? shiny, glistening strings means there's mucus in it. This sometimes happens when a baby is especially drooly, since mucus in saliva often goes undigested.

But mucus in poop is also a telltale sign of an infection or allergy. If it's accompanied by any other symptoms or shows up in your baby's diaper for two days or more, call the doctor to rule out any problems.

4 if I remember correctly! 3 injections. 1 on each thigh, 1 on the arm and an oral drop (Rota). But then check your babies card am sure the nurses should note down what vaccine your baby is due for next .

Thanks for the swift response coldfeet just dat I got scared dat he might ve taken it during d last visit cause of d way he reacted to d vaccine it was his second penta dose on wednesday.he did not react dis much to d first d person who administers d vaccines is diff from who writes d next appointment date d whole scenario was just confusing thanks for putting my mind at rest. I also called dem to confirm cos I remembered they sent me a text to com take d first dose of rota vaccine used d number to contact them dis evening.sorry for d long post

If you mean at 14weeks, my baby was given Oral polio vaccine3, penta3, PCV3 and IPV. I think She was given injection on both arm and one on the lap.

It's not good enough for the nurse to just weigh without checking the weight against a baby's weight chart and also comparing his previous recorded weight before arriving at a "diagnosis" of possible obesity. It's just wrong. Was his length and head circumference also checked?

To further allay your fears, I have checked a baby's weight chart using your baby's age and weight. He is within the 75th percentile which is very okay

My son was weighed today and my health visitor is pleased with his results. As he's more active now, his weight is within the 75th percentile (last weight check at 10weeks he was at the 91st percentile) and this matches with his head circumference while his length is in the 91st percentile.

So your baby's weight is very okay

Bathing a newborn with cold water is just wrong. If the baby is 'hot', then clothing should be taken off. Eg. The wool cap and shawl. the baby should be dressed in a light sleep suit. At day 3, I was asked not to wear the wool cap for my son at all indoors because the midwives felt the room was too warm as I always had the heating on.

Bathing three times daily is also putting the baby through unneccesay distress. Bath time for a newborn is a major activity so doing it 3 times a day is just too much.

pepsi,bread n tea,biscuits n eba @ 4 months? Maybe the patents are low on cash and are overly quick to wean the child. I can still excuse bread and tea. But Pepsi, biscuits and eba?

Newborn bathing thrice daily? Why? what for? The pikin na bricklayer? And even cold water? No mater how hot the weather is newborn babies should only be bathed with warm/lukewarm water because they can't yet regulate their temps and might lose body heat which they so need quickly!

As for that pepsi, biscuit, tea, EBA and bread for a four month old? That mother should be arrested that babies digestive system is being OVER WORKED! Big time. I pray for that unfortunate baby

Pls am sure you must have tried warning her of the danger and am also certain she'll tell you its not wrong
Please try and warn her to desist from such unhealthy approch to child rearing.

madam zayine, e don tey o, not too sure again but for the 6wks (opv1 & penta1) as well as 10wks(opv2 & penta2) it was on one lap- the left i think. But for the 14wks it was both laps as they gave her ipv as well as opv3 & penta3. HTH

I told her not 2 bathe d baby cold water,she was like 'abeg nothing go do am,na so I baff her senior sis' So I just face front...As 4d one feeding her baby junks,is not as if they dnt ve money o.She's just a miss-road mother...She dey feed her fried egg,dodo,yam name it.

My baby received 2, PENTA 3 and OPVERO. It was given on one lap but with a week interval while at 6 weeks the same injections were given same day on both laps
