While speaking during a meeting in Saudi Arabia, President Buhari said he had a different opinion on the N5000 stipend his party promised to give to unemployed Nigerians when
they come into power. Buhari said he would rather use the N5000 to repair the infrastructures in schools and empower mining and agriculture than to give the money to people who don't
work;

“This largesse of N5,000 for the unemployed, I have got a slightly different priority. I would rather do the infrastructure for the school that request them and empower agriculture, mining so that every able bodied person can go and get work instead of giving N5,000 to those who don’t work.”

I totally agree with PMB on dis one. For honor's sake: Why would an able person be collecting money (like a beggar!) that he/she is not working for? Where is d sense of self-respect

Ha, you think Buhari is a reasonable man?
He is a fraud who found it easier to make bogus promises when he really knew that what he was saying didn't make any sense.
All he wanted to do was appear better than GEJ, but is he really better?

Economical wise, i think this is a right decision. At first, 5,000 cannot sustain anybody in a month. So, if the investment can yield permanent jobs instead of monthly stipends, then noting wrong wit such decision

During campaign APC thought that they were doing bazaar trying to outbid their opponent by saying outrageous amount, but the only difference is that in bazaar/auctioning you pay up while APC have refused to pay. During the auctioning, the were dashing out figures(promises) in order to outbid their opposition. They masses rang the bell for them.... Going going...... Gone. Oya APC come and take your goods and pay up. Then, they start to blame, Complain and deny.
Buhari " I didn't say 2 naira, it was my crew that said we will pay 2 naira for the yam, not me ooo"
el rufia " we said 4bn for the goat quiet alright but we didn't know that the goat was this short"


Can someone tell this person to start paying up. Suddenly he remembered agriculture when the budget for ministry of info. Is higher than that of agriculture. Suddenly, he remembered educational sector when osibanjo budget for his personal office books can well equipped most university.

Mr president so you know the importance of agriculture and mining you still went ahead to budget only 9.5 billion naira to mines and steel development ministry, 29.7 billion naira to agriculture, while Lai Muhammed's information ministry got over 39 billion naira more than 34 billion naira you earmarked for power,works and housing.

the problem is, why did the youths(?) agree to collect N5000 in the first place? Perhaps whoever made the offer was probably surprised people took it seriously.

What is the purchasing power of N5000? ie what does it buy? You should first look at what the money could be used for and ask for information on how that particular figure was arrived at.

Millions of Youths mostly in the North voted for this Man simply because of the promise of 5K a month, they will Dis-President him immediately, if he fails to fulfill his promise.

sharrap, youths in the north have been voting BUHARI even before Apc was created and the promise made part of their manifesto. BUHARI is celebrated for his incorruptibility and his opposition to corruption and he hasn't compromised on that; it's when he does compromise that you'd see many in the north turning against him. As it's , BUHARI is still golden in our eyes.
