As long as Infrastructure is not the other name for Julius Berger and agriculture is not synonymous with Alhaji XYZ's warehouse stacked full with black fertilizer, I'm fine with that cos I too have serious issues with paying folks for idleness aka sloth subsidy.

When we say that this CHANGE MANTRA is a scam, people lambaste us. This proves that this GOVERNMENT has a hidden agenda apart from their wide publicised campaign promises which they used as BET to capture the interest of many. God pass them.

It is allowed to make an adjustment to policies and plans as long as its going to have a better result.

Its no big deal.

To them Buhari is always right. he must not be criticized

lmao! very funny though. I'm a Buharist, I will support any of his choice of policies. God knows if he had asked unemployed Nigerians to pay 5k monthly to the government instead of the other or present way round, I still would have supported him. I'm a mad Buharist, Jonathan caused it. His policies are for the betterment of our country, at least our money is in a safe hand. After rain come shine. Hope you get it!

Those promises were made at $100 dollar oil. Not realistic at $30 dollar oil. Leadership must evaluate its decisions at every moments.
Kudos PMB.

Yes it is a failed promise. But it is better to made d right decision even though it may lead to failed promises.

This post is not to defend PMB. This post is to support him for making the right decision. I never agree to the 5000 naira stipend to unemployed graduate. It would have be a waste. But 5000 naira for the most vunerable 1million nigerians (Mostly widows and physically challenge) is welcome if we can fund it. 5k to unemployed graduate is a no no no.

PMB did not deny the promise was made despite the fact that he never personally made d promise. He is only saying on his scale of preference, that is not among top priority.

PMB is a firm and sincere leader. He speak his mind straight up.

No president in the world including United State of America, have ever succeeded in fulfilling all campaign promises.

At every point in time, a leader must evaluate what he consider most important to d nation and make a bold decision. Leadership is dynamic

It is better to be criticise for not achieving a campaign promise than implementing a promise that is unrealistic just to save face.

Even if it means losing the next election,or losing popularity, a leader must put the country first.

The funny thing is dat those wailers who never supported the idea, who said it will promote laziness, will still be the one to condemn and criticise him for not prioritising it instead of commending him for doing d needful
all the $100 oil to $30 oil you are saying is not for me, in a civilized country when an aspirant that was blabbing his mouth during campaign and see things he can't handle on getting to the sit of power , the honourable thing is for him to resign

Nigerian youth are lazy... Many repose their destinies on Buhari's N5000 stipend. How will N5000 sustain a person in a month? Instead to clamour for employment, they await the fulfilment of the stipend promised by the FG.

You better go to street like Olajumoke, because someone may discover from there. That's answered call.

Nice decision by Mr Buhari
Shut up you dumb zombie. Was the dullard held by his balls when he made the promise. Shut up again

The men should dig the drains, pave the roads and climb the poles. The women should mix the mortar, till the land and milk the cows. That is how great nations are built. Anything else is an illusion. You will never have a strong economy if you franchise all production. You can never be independent if you are unwilling to work. The choice is ours. Buhari must devalue our currency to slam the door on 'foreign tastes' and to reboot our mentality. There is no better opportunity than now to develop. Once oil prices rise there goes our future once again.

Although i an not necessarily an APC supporter, i am a staunch Buharist. I support Buhari for most of his actions, why? Because he has a track record going back more than 40 years. He is patriotic, discipline, upright and respected by everybody except PDP/IPOB, so i trust his judgement. Although i suspect the N5000 promise was made by APC. I have never supported free handouts to youth under any guise, it dies not add any value to both the youth receiving the handout and the government giving out the hand out.

If Buhari tells us to give N5000, i will still support him. I trust he will utilize the money for the betterment of the country. It will be better than men of god telling us to give N5000 for the betterment of their own lives, while doing nothing for the country. It is certainly better than the last government collecting N1000 from the youth for non existent jobs only to kill over 10 of them. Until till today, their money had not been refunded.

Leadership is powered by trust. Once a leader is able to establish trust, his followers would follow him to the end of the earth.

The Apc has introduced a dangerous precedence to electioneering campaign in Nigeria. Worse still the gullible voters are not holding them accountable to these dubious promises. Henceforth in future elections political parties would be competing on who will tell the most lies to hoodwink the voters because they now know the governed are 'foolish'. Things will never be the same again.

False. Not all campaign promises are met. Politicians sometimes make promises he knows are popular at the time but renege on getting to power because of the impracticability of such promise.

Obama made the promise that he would shut Guantanamo bay if elected during his first campaign for office and had been reiterating the same promise since then. Uo till now - just a few months to the end of his Second term, guantanamo bay is still opened, and he has not resigned.
