From my personal opinion, I would say that Java is the senior brother, and C#.Net is the junior sister. Both languages are similar, but have distinct strength and weaknesses. I learnt Java before C#.Net, but I must say, I have done incredibly well with C#.Net. The secret is, both programming languages complement each other. from ur statement, u only know java nd not c# cos they are all the same interms of strength, the only advantage of Java is cross platform! c# is no Junior sisters! |

I love C# More Because Visual Studio Stomps on any Java IDE out there.it is very easy to develop with c# and very easy to create installer and deploy your program while java is a whole different ball game after you finish developing deploying becomes a nightmare. |

iyb:yeah....a free ide for c# also exists, sharpdevelop. It is also powerful. The only advantage of java over c# is javas free mobile application development tools, i.e, for android development. |
