Mr man, you can twist it however you like. The East will never vote an open bigot which Buhari is. You guys in the north have liberal candidates, if you can't field them then you will have to find a way to win without Eastern votes and then preside over a divided country like buhari is currently struggling with.

To me, this is the most important thing Jonathan did for Igbos.

Unlike the previous sectional federal governments, Jonathan created business friendly policies that benefited everyone regardless of tribe and did not to follow the Nigerian tradition of frustrating Igbo success.

1) During his campaign, he made Nigerians understood you could identify as Igbo and still be electable as president. This is what an Igbo, Odili, was afraid to do months before he Goodluck was thrown up.

He ended it in a big way by appointing two Igbo at the same time to head the army and the Navy. The one in the army now has the record as the longest serving Army Chief (COAS) in Nigeria. He did exceptionally well in Boko Haram fight even as he took the credit of introducing the first indigenous Armoured personal carrier, Igirigi, to the force.

3) Goodluck recognised Ojukwu more than others before him. He commissioned a statue of the man with his military uniform and Browning rifle strapped to his back. Named an important road after him.

4) He lifted the post war air blockade of the SE to the world by gazzetting Enugu airport as International and making sure that a foreign airline lands DIRECTLY there before he left office.

5) He introduced Innoson technology into the realms of the Nigerian military apparatchik, Air force included.

6)Among other things not mentioned. He has BIG, non pretentious respect for Ndigbo and it was FULLY returned to him.

If that's all he did to get your support as an Igbo man, then you need to shore up your self esteem.

Recently the vice president pastor yemi Osibanjor accused xpresident Goodluck Jonathan and PDP of not constructing any brown new road in the whole of Nigeria for the six years he was in office.

The reason for this post is to create an avenue for Igbos, Ipodians or Biafran hopefuls, to debunk the vice president's statement and also elinghten other Nigerians who share thesame view as the VP.

Although I personally dislike xpresident Jonathan even before he became the president. I don't just believe Jonathan failed in the aspect of road I believe he failed in all ramification of governance.

But there is one question I always ask, but I have not been able to get a clear cut answer. The question is what did Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan do in the South East in his six years as president that made them to adopt him as their son and keep praising and worshiping him as an hero?

I believe no man is an island of knowledge. There must be something Jonathan did that we don't kow about, but the Igbos know about. I don't believe all Igbos are foolish people to be supporting him if he did not do anything for them.

Let me start this trend by stating the only thing I kow that Jonathan did for the South East: Jonathan lunched the construction of the Second Niger Bridge

The point of this thread is to point out what GEJ did for the SE in terms of infrastructural development in his 5+years presidency. You have not been able to say anything except repeating the same bright future bullcrap and also repeating how Buhari didnt do anything in his 18 months leadership. You compare 18months to 64months of mega high oil prices and you genuinely think you are making sense? And then you keep yapping about defending the indefensible?

Will my people ever learn. The only time Enugu-onitsha express way received serious attention was during PTF. Yet my region has been within the corridor of power for 16 years of PDP lead but has nothing to show for it. What a shame! Igbo blame yourself not someone. I have always said it, I wish we have a "Jagaban" than the coalition of looters called leaders (both in senate and state Gov) or Biafruad. What we need as a nation is an honest political leader not Nnamdi Kalu that propagates hate speeches, still equate himself to mandela. Not Ike Ekweremadu who is only interested in gaining political power but could not attract one single FG project to my state Enugu. Nor Uwazurike who alleged to have defrauded some gullible youth all in the name of "Biafra" passport. What a pit. These set of leaders have made it look like having a regional development is a tall order. Today, just by one policy on forex some Igbo brothers a rain curses on PMB, while their brothers in Aba is smiling to the bank because the restriction is a blessing in disguise. How I wish the forex policy will stay longer maybe we will learn some lessons.

And you looked the other way when it was only Jonathan who knew the real meaning of 'Father Xmas' (a discriminatory one) by digging a tunnel, connecting Nigeria's money house to Mr. D., who gave generously to Metuh (N400 million), Falae (N100 million) and many of their friends too numerous to mention.
