Grew up in the north, so can totally relate to this scenario.

What we have in the north is a clear case of religious intolerance ;a northerners loses an election and a particular people with a particular belief takes to the streets, killing Christians and burning down churches, like the church is a subsidiary of INEC.

there is this congenital resentment for other religions (Christianity) in that part of the country, though not every one shares this mindset.

Jonathan & PMB govt support for/against the two states solutions is a clear mirror of our sentimental and hypocritical selves.

When GEJ voted against the 2 states solutions, wailers hailed it as a responsible and rational decision. Even though we know too well it was a sentimental vote to show support for his "darling" Israel. Few advocated the then govt to stay out of the Israel vs Palestinian political tussle. Today we have a different govt in power who is also sentimental and supporting palestine, and wailers are whining because he voted a "different team".
