Sachet water AKA Pure water sellers clashed with the distributors today in kaduna forcing the producers to close all factory. As I type this story, a bag of pure water is sold for N120 as against N50 or N70 yesterday. As a former producer of sachet water, a roll of nylon as at December 2015 was N330/kg but as at February 2016 it increased to N930/kg forcing the producers to hike their sales by 50% or more which they claim that the hike in USD was the cause. A typical Hausa man believes that water is supposed to be sold for free not minding other equipment or logistics put in place to produce this "pure water".
